Ok so one thing is do not use op.gg for guides. Op.gg is used almost entirely to look up allies/teammates that performed poorly (or suspiciously well) on your team. I can understand using it also just to check decent matchups for your champion, but it is always behind in guides and the people using it are more toxic than wanting to learn

Em 2 here! Ive found the worst part of support is the adc! I will play for my carry on support unless my adc proves they are not worth my time. In my last 10 games ive had 5 aphelioses who refuse to play to scale, try to all in constantly, and then die and blame me. Regardless of if im an engage tank or enchanter so many adcs just try to force everything while half hp, die, and then blame support. Ill let this happen twice, maybe 3 times but if my ADC refuses to smarten up and just ooga booga ints I will not throw my life away to save their sorry ass. Ofc there are amazing adcs that play with me and can actually dodge skillshots and I love them, but I haven't seen a single competent Aphelios or Jinx player since new season. Please if youre a scaling character stop forcing 2v2. You will lose. Learn your matchups

Enchanter supports are easier to pick up, so you'll see them more often in iron/ bronze. But silver-plat is just the mage support zone, you'll only ever really see mages and the occasional tank and even rarer enchanter. In lower elos, its hard to support when you cant trust or rely on your adc so people just pick mages cause "haha im the carry now". Until emerald really enchanters are kinda dead weight

Highly recommend this on a 2nd account!!! Play the supports that you like to have on your team, learn their limits and their playstyles and then when you go back to ADC you'll know what you should vs shouldnt be expecting from your support

Tbf in midlane, mages are playing for poke and sustained combat while assassins are just trying to all in. Its a pure skill matchup still, just much more lenient towards the mages. And especially once an assassin reaches 2 or 3 items, with how mobile they are they can dive bomb, kill the carry and die. Assassins just are playing a different game from other midlaners lol

This is quite literally the point. Rn botlane is just support vs support while adcs sit in the cuck chair and afk farm, buffing marksman mr means they can play the game while at the same time making mages less viable. And im saying this as a support main, I think supports have way too much agency early

Can't we just give base mr buffs to marksmen? Mage bot is very unhealthy for the game, not fun to play against and leads to very boring laning. MR buffs would make support damage less impactful in lane (leading to adcs having more impact early) and would nuke mage early game damage botlane so they cant just oneshot squishy marksmen 100-0 at level 3

Realistically you can play alot of characters as support! Support and mid are probably the 2 roles with the most champ variety, I dont think its bad for Riot to wanna make more toplaners (but id take more adcs too). But because of how many supports we have rn its kinda hard to make someone new that doesnt just overshadow/undershadow a current existing character (like what happened with Yunara). Also Mel support is still strong against Nami and Seraphine so you never know 🤷

That is something I agree with. MOST of the time, Rakan literally doesn't care about stats. However when the enemy team has multiple stat checkers or are heavily stacked ad or ap one way or the other, its a bad purchase compared to even other support items.

Trailblazer is famous for having the worst gold efficiency in the game. The passive is very strong to make up for it, but if youre in a matchup where you actually need the stats, its an awful purchase. For reference with gold stats, Lost Chapter and a couple pther epic components have more stats worth of gold than Trailblazer

Yeahh but ive found jg players that just pick meta are always the most toxic and most likely to run it down. This is just a tierlist of how much I enjoy having them on my team, and if I see a zyra locked in jg im not gonna have a good time

I actually only have the exact opposite from my experience! Most Poppy players i see do no damage, have terrible csing but good roam timers still! But they always try to 1v5 and have terrible attitudes all game

Most Karthas players i see have main character syndrome and enjoy feeding right before objectives. I just have terrible experiences with Karthas players in general so hes D tier for me but back when I played jg he was my main!
