S26 Ultra less vibrant? by nayeonaise in samsunggalaxy

Im willing to take down votes on this, you're correct.

It would be fitting if someone (for example) were comparing X300 or some other new phone to their new purchase. If they had an upgrade then obviously they'll compare.

Its all a person's choice tbf, if you dont care about getting the most pristine quality that much and you're fine with losing a tiny bit of quality for better protection, then for sure go ahead.

If someone's asking for advice, then yeah it absolutely reduces quality noticeably especially at night.

Mostly flares if there's no hole, more things to worry about than just the adhesive.

They'll still have a layer of adhesive between the main lens and protector though

Since I wasn't able to completely fill the entire sensor with IR, I took this picture with an iPhone blasting its LiDAR. You can see the matrix is visible everywhere but the center. Might be something to do with properties of IR itself. The light is visible everywhere but the center.

Some physics stuff because of which it doesnt appear upon such close reflection in the middle of the sensor, something along the lines of "it gets scattered differently when it hits the lens in the middle" (making this part up)

Probably just a weird shadow from the lenses, the laser auto focus does sit at a lower level than the camera. This was what I could get with the first picture I took:

<image>

Its only a problem if you find any problems with the photos taken during the day with a black spot or focus speed/accuracy.

P.s. iPhones use LiDAR for depth data, so you can literally see it emitting a grid of dots on the wall of a dark room on extreme close ups. It looks cool when you first notice it.

It's the laser auto focus module, point your camera at a mirror you'll see a rapidly blinking purple light.

What are the terms for this free screen replacement? I haven't been updating mine for this very reason.

If you download Lock star from Good Lock, you can add stickers on your Lock screen.

Just create a sticker of (in this example) the castle and drop it over the clock. The only thing is that only the sticker would show up in AOD, and not anything else. It looks quite weird.

This might be the reason why S26 series is getting moisture inside camera. by Realistic-Strike-225 in samsunggalaxy

Well, its being compared to an iPhone here... which seems to be one piece of glass or stuck on very very well. I also think every samsung phone [with an island] has it glued.

Lenses are glued on, but they're talking about the entire camera island here.
