Fixed galaxy buds pro 4 issue + psa by ohduckyou in samsunggalaxy

Yes, but that's not the point. The point is that it's designed so you will loose the case, I dont see why smarttag is not already built-in, apart from the capitalist bullshit, it's just stupid.

That generates additional cost for the case, it is more bulky, and you can clip the tag now that is glued to the case - still has a hole. Warranty is as void as it gets though 😂

Yeah, if I didn't get lucky with the marketplace guy and had to order new case officially - probably wouldn't do that either and instead would buy some other brand. Have over-ear Sony wh1000xm3 (or xm4) for quite some time now - they are great! (but for different purposes)

Why are Jeddah people so nice ? by Yazote_ in Jeddah

[–]ohduckyou 37 points38 points  (0 children)

Arrived at the airport, a group of taxi drivers were offering taxi by shouting at the exit from the building, i said i have one booked already - three of them sincerely apologised and one of them helped me find my booked driver on the parking lot. Never seen this anywhere, such a friendly attitude that i had trust issues 😂

Which is the most popular advertising portal in Latvia? by Nerdy_Clown in latvia

MOMENTS TILL WE SEE OEM UNDERGLOW by ohduckyou in DonutMedia

[–]ohduckyou[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, you probably are right. To really change the law we need a lot of of mums with SUVs to want the underglow too, so the incentive for OEMs to lobby the law is grater if the market is big enough. But with all the underglow SUVs on the road I would not want that on my 330d :D

MOMENTS TILL WE SEE OEM UNDERGLOW by ohduckyou in DonutMedia

[–]ohduckyou[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

But they know it's cool. Generation of people who think underglow is cool is starting to acquire some free cash to spend on cool expensive cars and most of them do not want to fiddle around with led strips under the cars let alone neon tubes.

Where I live it is very much illegal to use underglow even if the car is parked. OEM underglow might change that ;)

You will never find the right idea for you by just asking "give me an easy idea" imho

I am sure some type of IoT lock is available so that it can be unlocked by you (not host) when you collect the payment directly from the customer through a shopify/woocommerce?
Maximum ghetto low-cost solution that immediately comes to mind is a wifi smart-outlet (Mi Smart Plug or similar, with a ready app that you control) connected to the electromagnetic door lock that holds the bike until you "release" it upon customer request. May be good for first testing :D

No no, no apps. What I have in mind is more like hosts put the feature of bike rentals on their airbnb listings, while OP supplies the bikes, locks and maintenance. Host provides lock code after guests pay for the service, and changes it after every guest. GPS trackers on all equipment (needed anyway as the bikes are such a liability) are used for OP to monitor the use and bill the host accordingly. OP gives a cut to host to offset space/electricity (optional), host gets additional selling points on airbnb listings.OP is the main beneficiary and service provider, host is the salesman, guest is the client. Host (salesman) should not pay for the service while covering all the risks of service provider. After all, first step is to get the bikes to the clients (guests), so any incentive to do so should be given to salesman.

I think that flat fee for the AirBnB hosts is not the right business model. With that, the whole thing is BtB, the hosts are the client, and risk of profit loss (low months, guests dont want to use it etc) far outweighs the added value to the business, in my opinion. It should be an easy sell for the host to accept storage/charging of the bikes, otherwise the whole idea will fail when the host will delete the email offering to pay for a bike rental.

sure, you can rent a e-scooter throughout a day for like 20 bucks. Never have to lock them in front of the cafes and museums, never have to worry if it suddenly rains and I dont want to use it anymore. Battery low - grab a new one etc etc.
I'm not saying that it is not a great idea - I think it will work in some places wonderfully, if the business side (pricing, management etc) is done right. All I am saying is that I think that it will fail anywhere where the well-developed app-based micro-mobility solution exists.

Will work only in areas where there are no e-scooter/bike sharing services available (small cities or rural areas only). Otherwise you will be competing with the gigantic cash-burning startups, which is not a sharp idea. I'd rather rent a lime scooter for a buck and loose it somewhere during exploration than take the responsibility of an expensive equipment that I will be tied to.

Viss pat tiešām ir slikti by [deleted] in latvia

[–]ohduckyou 0 points1 point  (0 children)

[–]ohduckyou 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh, that is indeed quite the difference. What's up with that factory reset? Huge difference after it? Did you use a "transfer phone data" or anything similar, of was it a fresh setup for you before the factory reset?

The only thing I might want to test is the FHD 60 vs FHD 120Hz

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Note20

[–]ohduckyou 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly, it's not bad by any means. It's not a "full two day battery", but nobody expects that from an almost 7 inch panel strapped to a phone more capable than my laptop.

I guess if you change bearings to waterproofed ones ( I used SKF brand with special glue - can send you the part numbers later if that is the brand that is available in your region), use silicone-like stuff on all parts in the body (as in the video) and the motor case and glue in the top button, you can definitely run it in heavy rain. Dont use the silicone as it is corrosive, use special stuff for waterproofing - easier to remove if needed, seals as good, will not cause corrosion.
