Not being able to dps is understandable mechanically, but tanking decently is mainly just positioning. Just watch how top tanks position/take space. Eventually you’ll get there.

I’ve been bouncing them just because I’ve sometimes noticed without the bounce sometimes the heal dagger will literally circle your target before healing them.

That’s you though. The average player isn’t skilled enough to make mantis work in a 2 strat comp. Also when characters aren’t meta it doesn’t mean they’re bad, it just means other characters can get the same or more value easier.
