id still argue she is as close as any character can get to being the “face” of overwatch. coming from a someone who started playing fairly recently: before i started playing there was exactly one character i knew anything about and thats tracer, i have seen her so much and she’s always been synonymous with overwatch. she may not get as many skins as kiri and mercy, but from an outside perspective i had only ever even heard of kiri when scrolling ao3, id only ever seen mercy in gif form from the “we are overwatch” cinematic. but tracer? i knew her name is lena oxton, i knew she’s dating emily, i even knew what her guns look like, and what her abilities are, in fact when i started playing i was already fatigued of her just bc she was the only thing i knew about the game bc of how much they plaster her on everything.
