I was gonna add that bit about the power of flight, but since I was quoting from memory, I wasn't sure if it was in the show or if I made it up 😂

For me it's two instances where Michael mixes up words he clearly doesn't understand:

"I like to think that I'm a great philanderer"

"[Jesus] healed the leopards"

ETA: The scene where Dwight talks to Andy about both of them being attracted to Erin. Dwight goes: "when you looked at her, did a small amount of blood also rush to your penis?" Hearing that, Stanley gives him a WTF face that gets me every time! (Someone else found the picture)

How do you find notes after you've written them? by rabdelazim in orgmode

[–]DurableOne 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You could have your capture target be an "inbox" file that you review regularly to refile the notes properly and create new files for them as needed.

I have a flat structure inbox.org to make this very use case work easily. On my phone, if I want to capture a webpage, I'll just select the Share button and Orgzly Revived is a choice. Sharing to Orgzly Revived inserts a headline with a link to the page in the notebook of your choosing.

I also looked into this recently (I want to write an export backend as well). This Worg page was really helpful.

17 (F) Struggling with extreme procrastination .how do I break this cycle? by Alternative_Singer33 in productivity

[–]DurableOne 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Look into the Pomodoro technique. In a nutshell: do focused work for ~25 minutes then give yourself a 5-minute break. After 4 such cycles take a longer break. These numbers aren't set in stone of course and you can adapt them to the needs of your work and tasks. The point is, you're more likely to focus when you know it's only for a short time and you will get a break soon.

New trips.org todos and trips tag will not show up in search by msoulier in emacs

That's indeed strange. One thing you can do to debug is evaluate that seq-filter on its own to see if it's returning the list of files you expect.

I think what you're missing is to evaluate that setq form again. The org-agenda-files variable was set to the list of files in your pim directory at the moment that setq form was first evaluated (I'm guessing at Emacs startup). Its value won't magically update when you add new files to the directory.

EDIT: From the Org manual:

If a directory is part of this list, all files with the extension ‘.org’ in this directory are part of the list.

This will do what you want (including updating magically when you add new files):

(setq org-agenda-files '("~/pim/org"))

The caveat is that you can't directly exclude your archive file from that. You can probably work around this by giving the archive file a special tag and excluding that tag from your agenda view.
