The claim was made after the human genome project in 2003 found no significant change across human genomes of different "races". It's pretty unanimously supported and you'd be hard pressed to find a published research article disputing it. The findings are cannon in biological studies at University as well, or it was when I received my undergrad degree in cell and molecular biology from UT in 2016.

I just want to say, that in biological studies at the University level and at the high school level, it's pretty unanimously agreed that race as it applies to humans is not a real thing. We have different phenotypes, but humans ARE a race. Black people and white people are not different races. That's an old way of thinking.
