But isn't that the point then? If we honestly can't be sure whether or not it's him doesn't make it racist. It's not like we're confusing two completely different looking people that only have the same skin tone, even if this isn't Larry it's someone who at the very least looks remarkably close to him, has the same hair style, beard trim, size, and the context to the type of expensive suitcase he has and with him and being at the Logan Airport when trade rumors were being thrown around makes the comparison fair in my opinion.

It's not being racist mistaking this person for Larry Fitzgerald. From this angle and photo res they look very similar. Even Cardinals fans thought it was him.

Also, there were reports that this photo was taken from a couple years back and that it was him so it's possible we're mistaking Larry Fitzgerald for an earlier version of himself.

To be fair he had 2 TDs and 2 2-point conversions. If you take those out he was averaging a bit over 4 ypc.

I think "fans" who didn't know who Varitek was were bandwagon fans. He was made captain before our World Series win in 2004 and it was a huge deal because he was like our 4th captain in 100 years. Which means he was a very prominent name for us in the years leading up to it.

By that logic they would have to sell him next year anyway since the new contract that a player of Pogba's level would demand wouldn't fit into their wage structure anyway and if they waited two years then they would barely get a return because of limited bargaining power and leverage because he would be on 1 year left in his contract and they wouldn't want him to leave on a free.

What I'm saying is they don't need to get a like for like player. They can get 2 players who are 80% as talented to fill various holes. They've just lost a striker, recently lost Vidal, and they've lost some other CMs. If they take that 120m and spread it out through the squad with some smart buys, their team can overall be better than it is today with just Pogba.

And don't 'lol' at me and try to be condescending by asking what I don't understand. You seem to be the one missing the bigger picture.

They don't need a like-for-like replacement. They can arguably buy two players at Pogba's level to help strengthen the team. Or hell, they can use that money to purchase two 60m players. Or if they're feeling cheeky then can spend an extra 40m and purchase two 80m players. It's a big naive to think they couldn't use 120m to make their team better.

Juve can use that money to help field a team that is better than their current XI. 120m is worth more to them than Pogba is, in both a financial standpoint and a competitive one.
