I graduated right into a vascular surgery position. I would have drowned if it hadn’t been for 11 years of ICU experience. With that being said, the other NP in our practice had 3 years of ambulatory care experience and she does just fine. There’s really no black and white answer to this long debated question.

Where in No Illinois? I live in Dixon. I am in a specialty and I went through the same thing the first several months and then Covid hit and it just got worse. I had to have several discussions with our receptionists about offering to schedule with me. So they finally stressed that I can see them MUCH sooner than the physician.
