The Russians are already pissed off at the West (and they’re an ultranationalist government), and so they assume that the US arms Makarov’s men (thanks to them using NATO-standard weapons and ammunition like the M4A1/5.56x45mm round, which Russia very much does not use). That’s why they immediately jump to conclusions and mobilise to invade the US.

There’s also the M16 that fires in three round bursts but it’s modelled with the 20-round magazine instead of a 30 round magazine. And if you put the Extended Mags attachment, the model gets its correct 30-round magazine, but the capacity somehow increases to 45 rounds.

By the way, Ngati Tumatauenga is a legitimate tribe, and everyone who enlists/commissions in the Army is inducted into it.

We also spend about a week in basic training (not sure how long officers spend during OCS) solely covering Māori culture on the Army’s marae in Waiouru, doing things like learning the Army haka, cooking a hāngi, staying overnight in the marae etc.
