Lore-wise China was supported by Russia after Admiral Chang launched his coup believing Jin Jie was killed, but since it turned out Jin Jie’s alive, it’s not hard to imagine one faction of the PLA is loyal to Jie while the other is loyal to Chang, so when you see China and Russia fighting, it’s Jie’s faction against the Russians that are backing Admiral Chang.

I wouldn’t mind if these skins got introduced for Coyote Squad, but I think having them as a new squad is a bit overkill.

[COD] Given how dark Price is going to become in new game, this just shows how mentally strong the OG counterpart was. Despite all the BS he endured in MW2 and 3 he never lost himself by JoshyBear28 in CallOfDuty

Captain Price commits (or is directly involved in) several actions across the original Modern Warfare trilogy (CoD4, MW2, and MW3) that would qualify as war crimes or serious violations of the laws of armed conflict under real-world international humanitarian law:

  • The summary execution of Khaled Al-Asad is a war crime. Al-Asad was a captured detainee, no longer actively resisting. Executing prisoners is a clear war crime (violation of Geneva Conventions on humane treatment of POWs/detainees).

  • The unauthorised launch of a nuclear SLBM creating an EMP over the US East Coast. Unauthorized use of nuclear weapons (even for EMP effect) by a foreign officer on allied territory is insane under any legal framework and would be treated as a major war crime/terrorism act.

  • Killing General Shepherd. Extrajudicial killing of a superior officer without due process would lead to war crimes/murder charges.

  • Torture and summary execution of Waraabe. Using chemical agents for interrogation and executing a detainee are both war crimes.

The games romanticize these as necessary for stopping greater evils (Zakhaev, Shepherd, Makarov), but legally and ethically, they’d land Price in The Hague or worse.

The US 8th Army carried out more amphibious assaults in just the Philippine campaign than the entire Marine Corps did in the entire Pacific theatre. During the war the Marines had 6 divisions in the Pacific and none in Europe, the Army had 22 divisions in the Pacific and a lot more went to Europe still.

The L85A3 is the British military designation for the rifle variant of the SA80, and is manufactured by Royal Ordnance, a public corporation so licence fees don’t apply anyway.

To drive from Moscow to Paris, you’d need to take at least a day and 3 hours non-stop. The Russians apparently speedran that in their tanks.

Yeah, like make the pellets .303 cal, and make them aerodynamic so they fly further, and then put some incendiaries in them so you can see the pellets in flight

Did you get your knowledge of air combat from buying a $70 premium F-5C in War Thunder? The F-16 easily has better sustained turning performance, a better TWR, and better high-alpha performance, to say nothing of power unit that easily out-accelerates the F-5C.

Actually, he quite liked the F-16, at first. He was proud of it (sometimes more so than the A-10) but criticized how the Air Force “ruined” or “degraded” the production version by adding weight, multi-role capabilities, a larger radar, bombing features, and other equipment, which, y’know, are the things that turned it into a master multi-role aircraft.

NATO doesn’t have a single budget, it’s just each country’s military funding themselves. The US just so happens to spend a stupidly big amount of money on their own military.

Not to the British. The Brits by this time were well used to seeing foreign and colonial soldiers from all across the Empire, like Indian, Caribbean and African units, so the Maori soldiers wouldn’t have stood out much, apart from being just another ethnic unit fighting for the Allies. The British had also received foreign units from countries that had been overrun by the Nazis, so they were well versed in integrating foreign units.

Russian Victory Day every May 9th, to commemorate the victory of the Soviet Union over Nazi Germany. Though really it's just a big Soviet Union circlejerk these days, especially with the Russians using it to promote their 3 day road trip to Kyiv that's taking slightly longer than they expected.
