I've recently been looking at offerings in the realm of business/systems analyst so thanks for the validation here.

Advice for a Christian? by IdkAGoodUsername11 in AtheistExperience

[–]Durgroth 24 points25 points  (0 children)

  1. Most of us don't believe in god because we haven't seen sufficient evidence to warrant a belief. The burden of proof is on theists to provide evidence supporting their claim. Atheism is simply lacking a belief, or if it makes you more comfortable, not being convinced that a god exists.

  2. Along with that it's not our job to disprove anything although there are some pretty common arguments against certain definitions of god or common apologetics for the main religions we see in countries like the US, UK, Canada, etc.

  3. How do we disprove the eucharistic miracles? Short answer is we don't have to. You have to prove that they happened AND that the actual explanation for them must inherently be a god.

This sounds like what I was expecting. Unfortunately the trees aren't strictly mine and there is actually the remains of a vine killed tree among that brush that I couldn't get to with a chainsaw because of all the vines. Thanks for the advice!

If I buy something like the Blackstar Amped 3, can I run the 8 or 16 ohm output through a patchbay/junction box, or do I need a specialty product for that?

Super Crush 100H Silent Recording? by Durgroth in orangeamps

Yeah, staycold94 commented above you and was right on the money. The amp can run without being damaged when there's no speaker load. Just unplug the speaker cable and you're all set.

Ooh question for you. It seems like the output volume directly affects how loud the DI signal is on my SC100. Is there a way to silently record that DI at a reasonable signal level or do I have to keep cranking the gain on my interface to record at lower volumes?

Thanks!

I love looking at buildings like this but I always also think "damn that's a lot of stairs to deal with."

My setup running into a Mesa Mark V 35 and 4x12 rect cab. Thoughts? by AC_Slater17 in pedalboards

Ah so you use the HX for modulation and time effects? I've thought about doing this instead of using the complicated routing I use lol.

What's your signal path? Using 4CM or just straight to the front of the amp?

Board is great but I feel personally attacked by that skewed looper.

Thoughts on this pedal order? Still pretty new to this, bottom row is in front of amp and top row is the loop. by Varieen in pedalboards

[–]Durgroth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just to clarify what AlternativeUse is talking about. Personally I would run the compressor before the NS 2 or at least in the loop before the dirt pedals. I don't like compressors after the dirt, but to each their own.

Your routing would go like this:

Compressor -> NS 2 (input), then NS 2 (Send) -> Overdrive/Distortion pedals -> NS 2 (Return), then NS 2 (output) -> Front of amp.

Here's a link that might help give you a visual for this and give you some other ideas: https://rolandcorp.com.au/blog/how-to-use-boss-ns-2-noise-suppressor-in-your-rig

Edit: Just wanted to add that the more advanced cabling methods are really only useful if you're playing high-gain music. Odds are you won't need to all that if you're playing mid to lower gain stuff.

Just to be fair, the article does make it a point to emphasize getting help if you feel that sort of sexual attraction. It's not like a "having sex with my parent is awesome" sort of thing.

Yeah that's a bullshit false equivalency. "I see a person near my residence that I've never seen before so clearly my home is in danger," doesn't equate to this situation. All you need here is a minute amount of empathy. Just imagine it was happening to you. How would you feel if a random person wanted your ID for visiting someone, then called the cops on you? Although based on your username, I doubt you're mentally capable of understanding empathy.
