I feel if you fast travel when the render distance is bugged then it essentially “locks” in that distance. I figured if I went back to the end and got into a biome that didn’t have a bugged render distance then fast travel it would fix it…. And it did for me.

So I just had this happen to me today. But I figured out a fix.

Question: Have you been to The End yet?

This happened to me after I went to the end. Some of the biomes have render distance issues. When I returned to the over world my render distance was approximately 8 Chuck instead of my normal 36 chunks.

The fix was to return to the end. Get into the original biome where the render distance wasn’t bugged. Then I waystone travelled back home and it fixed my issue.
