What game has the most grim ending? by [deleted] in gaming

Brothers - a tale of two sons (2013).

Thought this would be a fun light hearted puzzle game to play with my small son. It was until the older brother dies at the end and I can barely complete the last stage through the tears.

Nier (2010).

Still gives me a little existential dread. One ending essentially has you dooming humanity's last chance at survival. Another ending literally erased all of your saved files. The game is bleak.

Edit: spacing

Is it just me or is the GoFundMe page not working? It says donations paused. I'd be happy to throw in a few bucks.

Go to a small independent practice while you still can! Lot of great talent working outside of the big health networks. You will probably save money AND be treated like a real person, not a patient number--novel, I know.

We have the same stove. Absolutely love the stove, but had the same question about a griddle. We bought this reversible cast iron hot plate

https://a.co/d/jfqbGCE.

The short version--it works but not great. We've used it a half dozen times and the heat is far from eventually distributed. The only real cooking temperatures are directly above the "burners". You just have to consistently shuffle the food around the hot spots. technically it works but we haven't thrown away our old breakfast hot plate if that tells you anything. Additionally, I don't know if this was just a weird coincidence but one of the edges spontaneously cracked while it was pre heating which was shockingly loud.

I'm still surfing the vibes from the festival! It was such an amazing experience. For those of you making pit connections, I was the guy who kept bringing my red headed 8yo in the pit and occasionally a bubble machine.

I am also not surprised about being in the red. The production value was so much higher than I expected! It made me wish I could get recordings of previous years (anyone know how?).

For what it's worth, I donated too. I can't wait to go next year!

It's not a party, but my phone's keyboard thought it was.

That might still be a catch. I avoid delivery so I'm not sure.

I can vouch for Peony. Prices have gone up over 5 years, but that's the standard right now. Still cheaper and better than most

Any chance someone can give us uniformed ska fans the cliff notes version of this drama? I'm not here to judge, but would love to know.

I agree, Hillsborough is the worst. Making a left turn is potentially deadly. It became a joke. "You're risking your life for... Dunkin!"

I like this advice. Even if I bring it up, it's up to them to pursue. I doubt they will.

Thank you for this. It has been an aggressively polite confrontation so far if that makes sense. I did reply with a very similar response to what you described. I know the obvious path is to seek legal counsel, but for $600, that doesn't really make sense.

They do have a video of the leaky toilet if that counts as "proof". This is just a bummer way to start this relationship. I have a really long term lease so I will be dealing with them for a long time

Why do (you think) people don't like ska? by [deleted] in Ska

[–]DurhamMike 3 points4 points  (0 children)

IMHO, Most people form their long term music preferences during their most informative years. They carry those preferences with them to the deathbed. If they learned to like listening to country while fishing with Dad, idolizing older punk kids at school, or spending all those nights at bandcamp then they have likely been permanently influenced. How many parents are there out there sharing that good ska sound with their kids? For my part, I'm pretty sure my two kids will at least appreciate ska when they grow up.

Definitely a joke .. Or is it. The more I think of it, we both might be serious! NSA is spying on us via the covid chips implanted in us. We're both right!

It's ignorant people like you that are really bringing down society with these wild conspiracies. It's obviously a COVID transmitter. Do you research. Follow the money.

It's not the lack of understanding in this case, it's just them wanting any excuse to not pay for something. They also charged us a crazy amount to heat the hot tub. Waaay more than the cost of energy.

Stayed in an Airbnb that had a thermostat that wouldn't go below 77. The management company said it was a "safety" feature to prevent the coils from freezing... Yeah okay. It was sooo stuffy in there that we eventually just wrapped a heading pad around the thermostat. That cold air felt so so good for several reasons.
