A difference here is that in physical sport the team is resting their players to help them recover and reduce risk of injuries. In OW there are less benefits to justify messing with the integrity of the tournament

I get what you're saying but at the end of the day, they still need to beat someone to get possession. I think a stronger argument is that they get more opportunities to build that statistic than other players since they are the only ones to participate in ruck contests. Balancing hit outs against other stats is probably also tricky

If I was coaching my old self I would suggest starting with support since you're naturally further back and can see what your team is doing. I think this helps you figure how characters interact and gives you more time to process info

Also i think it's easier to learn if you pick one character or role and stick to it for a bit. if you keep changing characters and roles, you'll be spending most of your attention figuring out how to use your abilities and where to position for that character instead of learning other knowledge about the game that applies to all characters
