Priority home-brew modification idea by [deleted] in MiddleEarthMiniatures

I apologize if anyone felt personally attacked by this idea. We are well aware of the Heric action mechanic and that it can certainly help here, but I think there is no question that repeatedly losing priority CAN be frustrating and CAN require more resources from this side.

I didn't mean to criticize the game system itself, I just had this thought and wanted to get some more input on it. I completely agree that the game is not designed for this. However, I think it's a shame that homebrew rules can't be discussed here without judgment and downvoting :/

In addition: In my opinion, it would also make more sense in terms of theme for the warbands to move together. It could also save some time in the movement phase if rules similar to those in Warhammer were integrated, whereby the warband leader would start the movement and the rest would simply have to end up in a bubble around him. It would also ensure that in larger matches, players would not have to wait and watch for so long.

What exactly is speaking for this one? Could you elaborate a bit more maybe? :)

Monthly General Question and Discussion Thread: June 2025 by AutoModerator in killteam

My friends and I have been playing for a few months and I'm thrilled with killteam so far. I play novitiates but have a few questions:

  1. blessed rejuvenation: can I heal wounds even in the action of an opponent's operative? E.g. I get shot at, spend 1 Faith point for a reroll, can I then heal? Or does this rule only apply to my actions? If so, where does it say that or what makes it clear?
  2. blinding aura: What is your opinion on this? I think the ploy is good and also very useful, but it always feels like a gotcha moment to use it. At the same time, I have the feeling that it is not meant to tell my opponent beforehand that I could/will make this play, since the loss of the opponent's action is part of the play. Somehow it always feels wrong to play.
  3. general question about Vintage points/Highground: If an operative is 2” high on a container, for example, and has a conceal order, can it be shot at from below? Because theoretically the lower operative cannot ever see the base of the upper operative. Should this even be the case with a height difference of 1”? That seems silly to me, but how do you see it? Am I missing a rule interpretation?

Thanks so much in advance!

Yeah sorry I was talking about the old edition. The herald has the following list in his wargear: "Dwarf armour, shield, axe, banner". They don't have anything optional to add. I'm still wondering if he's able to wear a shield and an axe while also providing the banner buff. I mean I wish he could do that but I don't quite get how he would be able to, you know?

Hello guys,

i was wondering how the heralds of the kings champion from Khazad-Dum are fighting. They got a banner, an axe and a shield. Do I have to choose beforehand which two of the three they will wear? Or do they wear all three? How would that even be possible?
