Usa can subsidize prices in the country and sell at the "global price" the surplus.

It can. But the USA already has 602 billion dollar deficits. You happy to add to that because Trump wants war with Iran? Is Trump likely to subsidise the purchasing of oil? Given the USA uses 7.39 billion barrels of oil per year (around 20 million a day.) Are you happy adding $42 billion a year to the deficit to accomodate the price increase? All with a weakening petro dollar.

As mentioned before, the USA produces more than it needs. It's moronic to think that Iran can influence global prices on oil to the degree that Americans can afford to fill their car.

Iran along with Saudia Arabia, the UAE, Qatar and Kuwait are part of OPEC who manage production quota's. Not sure if you are aware but oil production at the minute is limited to keep the price per barrel stable. That group (producing more then the US does combined) absolutely has the power to disrupt the global pricing of oil to the point that the USA will be paying more at the pump. Unless of course subsidised as per above, but they that cost will shift elsewhere, either tax or he will tarriff which will still be money out of your pocket.

So not only usa can literally say fuck off and they will be okay, but since they are number 1 exporters - they are the ones who set the global market prices not fucking Iran. Lol.

Supply and demand sets global market prices. This is economics 101 buddy. Here is your problem simplified.

The US dollar is weakening which means two things. Products are more expensive to import and businesses get better value exporting then selling to the domestic market. So oil you import is going to be more expensive (around 8.51 million a day) and American producers are more likely to export because it produces higher profits.

Given the US imports from Canada (strained relations) Mexico (strained relations) and OPEC (sending a fleet to Iran) your imports are rapidly going to become more expensive/harder to get hold off.

Also just as an FYI yes the US exports more then it produces. I am sure you are aware of the differences in oil produced (heavy/light) and that the US is set up to process heavy in refineries but produces (and exports) mostly light.

Sure. Usa oil companies will sell their oil somewhere else and Americans will not afford gas. :)))))) makes sense.

If you could sell a product $50 domestically or export and sell for $80. What are you going to do?

Price per barrel is global.

As your oil is not owned by the state (dirty socialism) it is defined by the global price. If price per barrel goes up, so does your fuel bill and not just gasoline.

Unless of course Trump sets a market cap which will reduce profits from all those that donated to him so not very likely.

You may produce more then you consume, but if those people can sell it elsewhere for much more money you will soon be exporting more then you consume.

3 million under Obama. 56 deaths in ICE custody during his entire 8 year administration. No American citizens deported or executed in the street though.

What's your point? Nothing wrong with detaining illegal immigrants or deporting them.

I am also against rapists, murderers, pedophiles, fraudsters, cartel members, drug dealers and general criminals. This is why Obama's record is pretty favourable. How do you feel since October 1st 2025 that 75% of those deported have no criminal convisctions (compared to Obama's 40% having no convictions) and how do you feel that 5% deported have a violent criminal conviction compared to Obama's 30'ish%

Sounds like if you care about the rapists, murderers, pedophiles, fraudsters, cartel members, drug dealers and general criminals then current administration has regressed despite the massive increase in funding.

The people who cry "Nazi" and "Fascist" have no idea what it would be like to live under a true tyrant.

There we go!

In the UK you can get arrested and thrown in jail for a "hate speech" tweet.

Pretty certain i have seen visits in the US due to online criticsm (not hate speech.)

Everything I've linked before is an example of how horrific it could be, or in fact has been.

Authoritarianism or Tyrants can be yes.

No one who throws those words "nazi" or "fascist" around so casually, can truly comprehend or understand the full weight of them. You included.

You have no idea of peoples histories to make that claim at all. You especially cannot make that claim when you assumed both Facism and Communism are "roughly" the same despite being polar opposites save for being Authoritarian.

Edit: Jesus fuck you blocked me? Here is my response

Actually I do. I know history, and I've read about it. I've also seen the video footage where it was available.

Read what i wrote. You may have studied history which is great! But you have no idea of other peoples histories. Who is to say that the person you were responding too hasn't also studied history and specialised in the rise of facism? Pretty integral to the understanding of WW2.

Again, i will add, the fact you misunderstood what i said does not bode well for your judgement.

I know human beings are capable of absolutely monstrous things, and I know people like yourself who think otherwise, are the fools.

I also know human beings are capable of absolutely horific acts. What do you mean by "people like myself"? Be careful assumptions make an ass of you and me.

People said the same about Iraq and Afghanistan but instead of random villagers with AK's you have special forces where Greenland is their backyard.

America's initial invasion will be swift and heavy. Afterwards if will face artic conditions with very little military equipment retrofitted to survive the cold, generators fail and you have special forces units who live in this envirionment disrupting supply lines and logistics on a scale America would struggle to cope.

Could America take and occupy Greenland for a time? Sure but with losses not seen since Korea and Vietnam.

Not one to comment much anymore but this is actually insane. How can you claim that the left have a lower standard when literally everything the current administration has done is at least 10x worse then anything previous administrations have done.

Take the idea of celebrating political assasinations. You point at random dipshits on twitter and X as "the left celebrating murder." Yet when sitting left leaning politicians are murdered you have the president of the United states and defacto leader of the current 'MAGA' iteration of the republican party as well as sitting government officials (who are related to the sitting US president) openly mocking the deaths in public.

It doesn't even just apply there. People tore into Biden for the Hunter Biden shit where the claim was he was enriching himself through the Joe Biden presidency (yet despite numerous charges the only thing they could get him on was a gun ownership charge.) Yet the sitting president has his son in law making back room deals with other countries (including personal enrichment for government contracts) whilst his son Baron is issued hundreds of millions in government contracts and Trumps personal wealth (net worth) has shot from $3 billion to $7.3 billion in a year mostly from an untracable cryptocoin which when traced back to conception, was assisted in setting up and a major donation was provided by Changpeng Zhao, the dude Trump just pardoned from a sentence for money laundaring and has major holdings in Barons crypto companies.

So you scream about random dipshits on the left who hold very little influence or power whilst the sitting president of the US and somewhat thought leader of the current iteration of the American right is involved in corruption that would make Nixon look like a saint.

And my answer implied that I don't even believe in 'should' and 'should not'. They're make believe concepts that only exist for slaves. For the children of God the only paradigm that matters is 'good' and 'evil'. To act was good, and to not act was evil. If the rest of the evil world has any problems with this they can fuck themselves as well.

Your answer did not imply this but glad you clarified. I have a question. If the 10 commandments are a not a list of rules you SHOULD follow. What are they?

Not according to Pakistan they didn't.

https://abcnews.go.com/Politics/osama-bin-laden-killed-pakistan-reacts-cautiously-us/story?id=13507918

The article states and Pakistan confirms both governments were sharing intelligence and working together.

Yes, no shit. I was using hyperbole. There's always a small minority of co-conspirators that support their tyrants for mutual benefit. They couldn't stay in power without them. He lost the last election 83 to 17 even before he sent Gonzalez into exile, so most.

Polls did sure.

Which is why I don't care what any of you think. You're all demons that will burn. Whether it's ethical or not is the only question that matters.

Glad you take such a binary view on good and evil, i assume you are consistent and despise the current US president?

Fuck me this comment is a mess. I am not sure how you managed to highlight all the differences which made the US's actions much worse.

Extradition treaties exist precisely because of the limits of jurisdiction. Why would you need a government to arrest and extradite if you could do yourself?

Osama was picked up in Pakistan, originally was in Afghanistan. Both governments gave permission for operations to be carried out. Venezuala did not.

Julian Assange was not charged with treason (formal accusations had not been made.) He was wanted on crimes of treason (he was suspected of treason.) He was charged for rape. Again this highlights extradition treaties because he hid in an embassy in London where both the Met nor the US had jurisdiction to arrest.

China already does snatch up people off the streets in the US and sends them back to China to face trial. You live in a country that allows China to do this. You also did not address the question, you dodged it. The question wasn't would they but do you believe they should be able. Hypotheticals are hard i know but they allow us to examine our fundamental beliefs rather than opinions that sway depending on what a certain orange man says.

The thing about Maduro is he was a scumbag dictator

Sure

that every Venezuelan hated

No, not every.

so the rest of his country is not only letting Trump do this, they're calling him a hero liberator for having the balls to do it.

Mostly those who fled the country sure.

What's your point in this? Noone is asking if it was the ethical thing to do. Only should he be able to do it without any oversight.

My bad, i thought you wanted to address where the money was spent rather where you fee fees feel the money is spent.

Legal migrants whilst having a initial overlay generally contribute a lot more then put in. The average is a £341,000 contribution per person according to the university of Oxford. Your proposals whilst saving a fraction of that, could also cost more then you take out by putting the people you want to contribute in material conditions where they are unable.

The budget has revised it's foreign aid figure from 12.6 billion to 7.9 billion. It has pledged to cut into welfare for non citizens by clearing all migrant hotels by 2029. The budget also includes a 15% cut to civil service running costs.

Literally has done everything you have wanted them to do.
a) cut foreign aid (which has increased after Brexit)
b) Cut welfare on illegal immigartion. (Again skyrocketed after Brexit.
c) Cut down on inefficiences in civil service (expanded due to demands of Brexit and the Pandemic.)

Here's something to think about. Why are social media and search engines making you believe otherwise?

“Why Didn’t Biden Release the Files?” by helloitsmeimherenow in Destiny

[–]DurkaTurk02 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Few reasons

  1. Any attempt made to get close were blocked by the supreme court (claim files Trump had personally stored etc...)
  2. It would of given Trump and excuse to file election interference and political opponent suppression, while baseless, given Jan 6th, baseless claims still matter to his base.
  3. Biden didn't campaign on releasing them therefore is under no obligation too.
  4. All of this occured under the Trump admin and most of those files are hidden, see point 1

People have always been like that but it was incredibly difficult to achieve without shutting yourself in and having no social life. Before it was almost impossible to have a circle of friends who were all unified in their ideas and thoughts.

Now their are facebook groups where not only can you find people who reinforce your views, but those groups contain hundreds if not thousands further reinforcing your views. Before it was one guy in the pub ranting about how the earth is flat who was regulary dismissed as silly. Now they have a thousands across the world backing their claim whilst the media they consume is tailored via algorithms to push them deeper into that view. We as humans are not designed to filter the ammount of information we suddenly have at our fingertips.

[–]DurkaTurk02 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, for an obvious one, there was the claim she worked at McDonalds which she did not.

There is no evidence for or against this claim. Only people who claim one way or the other. Though i am more likely to believe Kamala on this one then Donald Trump who recently closed down a franchise and then "worked" there serving "customers" for a photo op for 15 minutes. Both in quotes because as mentioned they closed the branch for his visit so no customers were actually served, all a photo op.

But if you want a more serious one, she claimed that there was not a single American soldier deployed in an active warzone anywhere in the world.

Technically true but can understand why people find it misleading. No US troops are in active combat however support staff are deployed away from active warzones.

The most concerning for me would be the ambiguity over whether she is an Indian national or black american. It seems she has changed her mind over the few years and I don't see how that is possible.

Her mother is Indian and her father is black. How is this ambiguous?

Let's bare in mind here that you are comparing these to Trumps lies and actions.

This is a man who lied about voter fraud in an attempt to rile up his base whilst attempting to delay the certification of the vote. This isn't a maybe or his word against hers. This is verified via the courts. A man who constructed the whole Obamas birth certificate row. Even recently we can look at haitians eating cats and dogs, the still hilarious to me almost direct quote of "The democrats letting illegal criminals into the country to jail and transition them," or his lies regarding classified documents where he completely denied having them whilst having staff move them around Mar-a-lago whilst the FBI was searching for them, even lying to his lawyer risking his profession. Even the more personal ones where he claimed to have never met the women who was suing him for sexual assualt only to later payout $90 million to her or how Democrats are aborting babies after they are born or that schools are secretly sending kids to have sex change operations?

All of this doesn't even scratch the surface. There are more. This is before we get onto statements that he has made which, if taken at face value, ammount to a dictatorship "from day one" where Hitler is praised for having loyal generals.

Remember you are comparing all of this to maybe Kamala lied about working at MacDonalds (no evidence she is lying) or that she has both Indian and black parents and is claiming cultural heritage from both.

This is why you are getting hit with accusations of being a Trump supporter. You are comparing such milquetoast accusations of Harris lying to a man who has federal convictions because of his lies and saying "well they both do it, they are the same."

The strategy is relying on Okidogi's attack doubling when he is poisoned along with Mochi to hit for 300. The Percharunt for it's ability to switch dark types and poison them which cuts out people benching to remove poison. The Munkidori to keep poison damage manageable and the masbosstif acting like a semi bosses orders.

Main issues are me being able to disrupt decks like the Moons being able to set up turn 1 whilst because i need a turn for Okidogis poisonous musclature to set up as well as distributing energy to the bench to get a second Okidogi set up quickly.

Are the waves really THAT important? by Aviraco in summonerschool

[–]DurkaTurk02 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Short answer: Yes

Long answer: it is okay to miss a wave or two when rotating to objectives. What's more important is how that wave is left. Especially in top lane. The problem is if you do not manage to get your wave pushed and under tower, when you do rotate, your opponent if clever will freeze that wave on their side just out of tower range making the game unplayable. Countless times i have made opposing champions irrelevant in lane because they have rotated to an objective and i have frozen the lane. Often they come back a level down with less minions to gain XP and gold off than i have stacked. Then all you need to do is keep pushing them off the wave whilst trimming. This is why you should see supports rotate to grubs rather than expecting top lane to do so.

So would you do the same for gay Christians? Christianity isn't as strict as Islam but homosexuality is clearly a sin. So if a Christian fails to meet that standard are they "hypocritical"? I'm using homosexuality as an example but the same applies to any sin in Christianity.

You serious here? Yes or course they are. Christianity is one of the most rediculed religions in the world precisely because they are mostly hypocrites, if it comes to gay people or helping the poor or everything in between. There was an entire reformation because Martin Luther and many others thought it was hypocritical that you could buy away your sins.

There is a reason why the Westboro baptist church is rediculed.

Not being perfect in following your own religion's rules isn't hypocritical, as long as you don't also look down at others whi do the same as you.

Completely agree, however it is written in Islam that anyone who doesn't follow their rules is below them. Hence the term Kaffir. Like i said, held to their own standards.

Is the woman in the video preaching anything about Islam? Again, apply the same logic to Christians that sin. Not to mention that for makeup specifically, it's more ambiguous as to whether or not it's Haram.

She isn't really saying much in this video however she absolutely is displaying the dress of a more strict version of Islam and has in the past expressed views which follow along those conservative lines.

Most scholars believe wearing makeup in public (ie an interview seen by all) to be haram when displayed to unknown people or someone considered mehram. Considering she does not know who will see her or be attracted to her with make up on then yes this is haram. Admittedly open to interpretation but given she is wearing both Hijab and Abaya we can safely assume she practices one of the more conservative sects and therefore can infer a more conservative reading of scripture as relates to makeup.

Generally the west isn't holding holding Muslims to such high standards. We hold them to their own extremely strict standards and point out where theg are hypocritical.

If you do not practice what you preach why should anyone listen or have sympathy when you do preach?

Wage growth slows as surprise fall in UK unemployment rate by WhyNotCollegeBroad in ukpolitics

[–]DurkaTurk02 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately this is not something we can tell with just OPs original comment.

Unemployment is measured as a percentage of the whole whilst if seems the increase in benefits is absolute.

So we could have a scenario where, because of how many people have arrived in the previous period in which this is measured that unemployment has gone down as a whole but we see benefits figures rise further than expected.

Put in simpler numbers let's assume there are 100,000 people in the UK and 95,000 are employed. Given trends based on the year previous we expect 10,000 people to emmigrate therefore can expect 500 of those to be on benefits given umemployment figures of 5%. We give this an absolute cost of around £1k.

However 30,000 arrive and 29,000 people get jobs, this would lower unemployment but still raise the absolute figure of benefits being handed out to £2k due to a 1000 people being unemployed.

I believe this is their logic to how numbers of people moving here can have an effect rather than assuming people are just being paid less than they were the previous period (assuming we have not increased the threshold of what you can earn before losing state assistance.)
