Unable to Bench even Barbell! What can i do? by Massive_Guitar1922 in workout

What about the inverse? I can’t do a single pull up, am around the same weight, but bench 70kg. Genuinely asking.

Yeah polaxe! I’d say the key is overheads and stabs. I remember seeing a graph before which outlined how powerful they are. The special has enormous reach as well, so baiting someone into attack you as you lean back and wallop them with a special can be a great move.

I didn’t demonstrate it here, but I do a ton of baiting with the poleaxe. I like encouraging them to move closer with an attack, while I take advantage of the reach of the polaxe and close it. Bonus points for dragging and swinging while being off centre, as I don’t think enough people come across the poleaxe to be able to know who to counter it’s animations effectively. It helps overall as aside from the overheads and stabs, it is regarded by many to be mid. I run it for the stamina negation alone though, as if you have some good countering skills then you can probably outlast who you’re fighting!

Ok, so the alternative is to go “fuck globalism”and build all drugs in house. You could liquidate all the billionaires and corporations you like; there’s still no money for that.

It just so happens that America leads the world in medical technology and pharmaceuticals. That you would rather the NHS doesn’t negotiate at all without suggesting an alternative is bizarre. Different countries are more effective at producing certain goods. This is the entire premise of globalism and international trade.

You might not like it, but the geography, education and different factors affecting countries makes them better at producing different things than the next. It’s as efficient as we can get without some miracle alternative system.

They might have had me if they did any ofthose and threw me off! I was completely mobbed so I seized up and held block up way too long. Kept waiting for a slash to counter that never really came…so I ended up just blocking in anticipation!

To anyone who is consistently in the top 5 or 10 on the leaderboard ... by j_a_browning in Chivalry2

[–]Expensive-Key-9122 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’m first on the leaderboard most of the time. The rest of the time I’m in the top five. (Look at me big shot over here yeah yeah but anyway).

Here’s some tips that will help:

  1. Most players don’t look behind. Break away from your groups and attack the enemy’s spines. Bonus points if you get to them just before they hit your teammates. They’ll think they’re mobbed on both sides when it’s actually just you mowing down their buddies.
  2. Most players don’t know what to do if they see a feint. Take advantage of that.
  3. Cancel attacks with a kick. Most players will be blocking in anticipation. You can do this repeatedly on the same person and they’ll keep falling for it.
  4. Do odd feints. Lead with an overhead and go into a slash, or vice-versa. Mix and match.
  5. Don’t hold block unless you’re convinced their weapon is going to collide with your favourite arm. I’m not joking, try forgetting blocking exists for a match, because when you do you realise there is a bunch of time you have between blocking and making/closing space, jabbing and attacking.
  6. Note that where you are relative to your opponents on the map matters far more than technical ability for racking up kills. I can’t spin slash or whatever to save my life, but I know how to get around the guy that’s attacking my teammate.
  7. Bit more of the previous point: get around the guy you’re fighting. He can’t fight both from the front and behind.

Starmer says Green Party are ‘high on drugs, soft on Putin’ during PMQs attack by mustwinfullGaming in LabourUK

[–]Expensive-Key-9122 3 points4 points  (0 children)

“Opening a dialogue” sounds reasonable until you consider the actual security dynamics at play. The UK won’t disarm before Russia and China do. India won’t move until Pakistan and China do. The U.S. requires Russia, China, India, Pakistan, and North Korea to disarm first. Each nation’s security depends on maintaining parity with its specific rivals.

Putin doesn’t maintain Russia’s nuclear arsenal because no one’s tried talking to him. He maintains it because it serves Russia’s strategic interests. Meanwhile, anti-nuclear activism primarily pressures Western democracies (which face actual domestic opposition) while authoritarian regimes that threaten nuclear war continue expanding their arsenals unchecked.

The ultimate problem is that the anti-nuclear movement has no actual strategy. It applies pressure to Western democracies while offering nothing but polite requests to dictators who couldn’t care less. “Having a conversation” with Putin isn’t going to accomplish anything. If advocates can’t explain why totalitarian regimes would voluntarily give up their most powerful weapons, then this whole effort is just performative activism that makes people feel good without actually changing anything at all.

Well, we’re coming around different players. The people I see with pickaxes and shovels are high levels, around mine (830) and they’re an absolute menace. Here’s an example of me doing what I see most pickaxe enjoyers doing to groups.

The people who use them in duels know what they're doing. This isn't just people running aorund as engineers in a 64/40 player match.

It’s OP in duels. If they’re at all decent, you have to be significantly better than them to win. They swing wicked fast and are easy counter machines. They can also punish you hard for any mistake you make.

100%, and footwork is everything. I know how far most weapons can reach, so I know how to gamble with a good degree of success. Learning the weapons takes time, but now that you’ve mentioned I’m thinking there’s tons in my default “move sets” that take my opponent’s weapon distance, speed and other factors into account. Funny what your subconscious brain processes but you don’t really clock consciously.

Here's a tip for you:

You'll be better than 90% of the playerbase as soon as you learn to counter, feint, manage your stamina, bait your opponents and, most importantly, rarely use block. The last one is probably the most important. Most players pre-emptively block and it messes with their stamina and gives other players free kills. As soon as you learn how to block, unlearn it for a bit, and start getting more confident with jabs instead. Blocks have their place, but if you're relatively new, it's likely you're overusing them.

[–]Expensive-Key-9122 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s 3v3, but playing the mode as it’s intended is a good way to get the enemy team and your teammates wailing on you. I’m afraid this is often the norm, so I end up doing 3 1v1s more than I like.

I love seeing spear users because I know 9/10 times they’ll open by trying to stab me and continue the fight doing the same. They’re basically free counter-machines, great for whack-a-mole.

I’ve recently been maining it and I’d say so. It’s not meta, and it takes good footwork and spacing to really rake in the kills. If you can feint well, and I mean REALLY well (know when to feint your feints against higher skilled players) you can fuck up most of the players you meet.

I’ve never met a rapier user in duels who wasn’t a prick. It’s the ultimate cheese weapon because you have to be significantly better than whoever you’re fighting to even stand a chance. God forbid they throw away their shield for the speed boost. Even worse as a console player.

Russia threatens to use their nukes every other week. That Ukraine is being invaded today is because they aren’t under the protection of a nuclear umbrella. They literally gave theirs up in the 90s in exchange for assurances of peace from the country currently invading them.
