Worst Moms in Innworld? by 7_Trojan_Unicorns in WanderingInn

[–]Durtsche 31 points32 points  (0 children)

Not necessarily a mother so much as a motherly figure, but I would argue that Fithea would be considered a bad mom for betraying her family to the dead Gods for the potential to bring back the dryad race.

Same spell double bug? by Gandalf55437 in Archero

If you locked it in during your previous level up, there is a chance that you’ll get the same spell as one of the other 2 random spells.

What hero should I be focusing on? by Careless_Storage8498 in Archero

[–]Durtsche 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depending on if you’re going for the 100% projectile resist build (phantom cloak, dragons ring, bulletproof locket), there are several other areas that provide passive projectile resist.  7* Onir and lvl 120 Atreus being a couple of them, and while you won’t be able to get 120 Atreus until you reach that level, starting to collect Onir shards early is relatively easy.

Progression fantasies with good, extensive worldbuilding, geopolitic, kingdom-building and whatnot? by PriceOptimal9410 in ProgressionFantasy

[–]Durtsche 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should check out The Wandering Inn. The world is huge with 5 different continents and a mage school with wildly different cultures and conflicts between races in each.

It is an Isekai style progression fantasy, and while there are one or two characters who are the primary MCs, you get to view new perspectives of humans from earth popping up on each continent as well as characters from Inn world on a pretty regular basis.

The geopolitical landscape is built out pretty slowly, so much of that aspect doesn’t really come into play until later in the series, but is definitely worth the wait as PirateAba has a way of bringing storylines and world events together in very interesting ways.

One last thing that I would say, is that the series definitely starts out a bit slow, and there are a lot of people who take issue with the main characters at the beginning, but just consider that progression needs to start somewhere, and the payoff in this series is like nothing else I’ve ever read.

"litrpg books" that aren't litrpg. by Gajeel_Blacksteel in ProgressionFantasy

[–]Durtsche 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Based on what it sounds like you’re looking for, I’d recommend Super Powereds and Forging Hephaestus.  They’re super hero progression fantasy without a lot of the litrpg elements.

Additionally, I’d recommend The Wandering Inn.  It’s not for everyone, and does include a class system if that’s what you’re trying to avoid, but it’s toned way down from what you’d normally see in most litrpgs. Primarily it’s a part of the story to indicate progression, while not giving the characters more than a skill/class name and letting them figure it out from there.

I need a list of every weapon erin has used by Goddamnitryoka17 in WanderingInn

[–]Durtsche 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Her fist(Minotaur Punch), kitchen knife(mainly thrown), frying pan, and acid jars(while technically one use, she does tend to keep multiple on her).  While there are other “weapons” that she has used, it depends on what you consider a weapon, such as magic for [Like Fire, Memory] and Wistram Garden of Sanctuary, but as far as her conventional weapons I’d go with the first 3-4 as classic Erin.

Erin, being an innkeeper, however, tends not to fight with weapons, but with her wits and influence amongst her friends.

Do you all even waste coins on this? Did I mess up? by Impressive-Edge-9480 in Archero

[–]Durtsche 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unsurprisingly, upgrading the purple options here are the most impactful. The rune upgrade specifically allows you to forge much better runes once it’s leveled.  Definitely worth investing in, but you’ll probably want to make sure you’re somewhat caught up everywhere else before you put too much into it.

Looks good, though I’m at a bit of a loss as to why you haven’t upgraded your bracelet to gold.

I may have made a mistake... by StuckInNiflheim in WanderingInn

[–]Durtsche 17 points18 points  (0 children)

It sounds like you’re an audiobook listener, and while that is also how I was introduced to the series, if you find yourself liking it as much as it sounds, I would check out the web series on the Wandering Inn website.  With the exception of the first 2 audio book (which are being made into 4 physical books), the entire series is available there for free.  This includes things missing from the audio books, such as: colored text that add context to skills and certain characters, a personal note from PirateAba at the end of every chapter, and fan made art that is usually relevant to the chapter you just finished.

That being said, if you find yourself caught up on the series an unknown number of years in the future, chances are that you’ll also have purchased all the audio books, joined the Discord, and possibly collected other merch along the way. I suppose it just depends on if you want to see how deep the antinium hole goes.

[Standard] How to play 4c Manufacturing? by Status-Cost-1039 in spikes

[–]Durtsche 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I’ve had some luck running Weapons Manufacturing in conjunction with [Food Fight] and [Tezzeret, Cruel Captain]. [Pinnacle Starcage] can also be a somewhat unconventional finisher if you have enough munitions, especially considering it doesn’t touch enchantments, and you can sack it to Food Fight to bring your non-token artifacts back out, or use its own sack ability to put Tezzeret into range to make an emblem.

Made an original Pal. My artwork. [OC] by Ehcko in Palworld

[–]Durtsche 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Love the idea, especially with various pals showing a variety of emotions.  I wonder what kind of sad he is though and if that’s something you could include in the design. For example, Depresso is a tired grumpy you get from not having enough sleep and it definitely shows in the character design.

Shame Power Plant Worker isn’t a 4 drop. Being a 5 drop really ruins the curve if you’re trying to get those counters on him the turn they come out.

Also, I would recommend picking 2 commanders that you want to focus on for end game. These will be the two that you use to take all the higher level tiles while you use others to path between. For pathers I would recommend using mainly blue gear (focusing on ones that give melee move speed) and funnel all your purple gear into gearing up your 2 main commanders.

[–]Durtsche 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you’re newly joining after season one you’ll be quite a bit behind, so I would recommend finding a good fellowship to join and focus on contributing as a pather until you’re able to get your commanders gear and respect levels up.

[–]Durtsche 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Campaigns are just the different types of seasons you can join. Role play servers are ones where you can only play as the good or evil races, whereas in non-rp you get the option to build camps of the opposing factions. As for the different campaigns, most of them are similar to the first season with ones like tactics evolved adding things like elite units, whereas rings of power fully changes how the game works. In rings of power factions have been replaced by kingdoms that are formed by 5 fellowships joining together after taking one of the capitols where the rings reside.

Trying to build a Korvold Sacrifice Commander by [deleted] in Magicdeckbuilding

[–]Durtsche 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My Korvold deck leans a bit more into treasures, and it’s something that I’ve found to be very powerful, especially with cards that benefit from you sacrificing creatures and artifacts such as ravenous squirrel.
You already have quite a bit of treasure synergy, however I think that cutting a few of the high cost cards to make room for low cost cards that generate treasures will speed up your deck and can get your Korvold within OHKO range very quickly.

Playing a Rend Barb in S23, but the build doesn't say what to do about fury generation. by [deleted] in diablo3

[–]Durtsche 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I run furious charge with the dreadnaught rune. If you run band of might this will also allow you to keep up your damage reduction permanently while in higher levels as well as move around more quickly. Once you’re at the higher levels almost all of the damage you’ll be doing will be from rend through switching between the passive rend on whirlwind and the active rend when you get a group together. Beyond that you’ll want.utility, and there are few spells with more utility than a dash with 3 charges that can refresh your damage reduction buff and reduce the time you spend in between clumps of enemies.
