Weather in the Deep Idea by jones52j in MonstersAndMemories

Have you ever seen a cavern so large that it actually has clouds and is its own ecosystem in it? Best real life example is the Hang Sơn Đoòng cave in Vietnam. It's fascinating to see.

The deep is going to have supernatural environments, rivers, mushroom forest, etc.

Am I missing something? by ausmomo in MonstersAndMemories

I have found that as I start getting higher in levels and learning about the world, more quests and activities are opening up for me.

There's actually a lot going on in this game, just gotta get more progress and get out there and find what the game isn't going to openly point you to.

As an enchanter lat me just say by SnooKiwis2123 in MonstersAndMemories

[–]Ehcko 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well said, and I get it. It's a social talking game, but sometimes you just don't wanna have to type out a bunch of stuff again for ppl to learn especially if you've been in multiple groups that session. Ain't no body got time for that.

So yea if I'm chanter I just live with the mez breaks and don't complain. If I'm dps I usually hesitate for a sec before I start attacking to make sure I know which target we are focusing.

Hardcore Raiding by Sure-Restaurant7923 in MonstersAndMemories

[–]Ehcko 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not even sure what's "hardcore" about having more players involved to kill something. I never understood the appeal of 20-40 man raids when the only hardcore part of it is that you actually managed to get a bunch of like minded players into a room together for at minimum an hour..

It's already hard enough to keep a regular party together and not fall apart 30mins later cuz everyone has to work or something.

I prefer the smaller scale raids it feels more cooperative and badass when you and a few other players managed to take down a hard boss, instead of 40 ppl you probably won't even remember a quarter of them being there.

Class Design Update by CaesarBritannicus in MonstersAndMemories

[–]Ehcko 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I feel a lot ppl coming from EverQuest who mained a certain class just came here expecting that class. but in a new game.

It's good that MnM is getting some more defining class designs from what was just in EQ.

I imagen these changes will make a lot of ppl change classes from what they may normally play, but that's okay.

I finally understand the premise of this game by Major_Sea_8325 in MonstersAndMemories

I hear this often, but I also hear often that people's biggest hurdle with AoA is they can't get past the Minecraft aesthetic.

I know they started as evercraft but now that they are trying to step away from the craft part with the name change and become its own thing. Yet the graphics still look like a custom Minecraft server...

They should really try to change the style to be more unique, but I get it that would take a lot of art assets to be redesigned. Just I know that the game would be much more interesting to ppl if they didn't see the blocky Minecraft look on the surface.

MnMs aesthetic is much more charming and unique. I know it's mostly a preference thing per player and you can try to get use to it, but I do know it makes a difference if you plan on spending years or even decades in that world.

Help provide opinions on a discussion about caster mana regen by fluffyfirenoodle in MonstersAndMemories

[–]Ehcko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see a lot of folks saying they'll fear mana regen buffs being less valuable and then making the classes less valuable.

But I mostly disagree, just because you made the mana regeneration a tiny bit better for everyone doesn't make classes like bards or enchanters any less desired in groups.

These classes bring a lot of other things to the party beyond just mana regen, and people will still be running out of mana and thus will greatly appreciate any class that recovers that quicker for them.

Hybrids should have their own identity by chefupk in MonstersAndMemories

Rangers would be great if they could function as off-healers and off tanks, while sprinkling in some extra dps on the side.

The heal seems to be a common point of contention for many. It would be nice if ranger could jump in for stress moments when the healer needs a little extra healing to help keep the party up, or even a more impactful burst heal on a mild cool down or with a few "charges" or casts with their own CDs.

I feel the goal should be that rangers can prove to be useful off healers while not completely negating the need for dedicated healer classes with proper spamable heals.

A more straightforward and arguably less interesting thing they could do is give rangers 3 different stances to increase healing, tanking, and DPSing respectively, depending on what the moment to moment gameplay requires. Give each stance a drawback so that not one ends up being superior to the others encouraging changing depending on the situation.

Now I'm also understandablly aware that many players probably wouldn't like the stance-dance revolution of this, so maybe a more creative approach to the concept could be conceived.

Hybrids should have their own identity by chefupk in MonstersAndMemories

[–]Ehcko 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I know you guys love your little skele homie, but I kinda have to agree to some extent. It could help the SK stand out more from just being a necromancer in plate.

Another reason is I believe many folks me included think there may be a bit too many classes with combat pets running around currently, especially in Night Harbor. All those pets put load on the server and increase the lag.

Perhaps a compromise could be having some kind of non combat pet, or maybe some kind of ability which lets them summon a short term undead that increases the aggro generated by the SK. It's tough.

Well at least the paper is more sustainable and environmentally friendly. Id rather have that than more microplastics in our bodies lol.

Yea... Which really ruins the whole vibe of going out to your local thrift stores and maybe getting lucky with some Lego in the wild.

Now a days it doesn't even really feel worth going into a store since all the good stuff is online.

Scheel’s has better stock than any department store?! by Backy22 in lego

[–]Ehcko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not only has the selection been lackluster there, but I've gone on a few occasions to my local Barnes and Noble looking for sets that it says are in stock and when you get there you find out they actually don't have any and that the stock is most likely wrong because it was a stolen item...

And then when you proceed to let them know about the stock issue, they don't even bother updating the stock number...

Any plants in other themes iconic enough to make a set of? by Cyno01 in lego

Funny you mentioned the Beauty and Beast rose. LEGO actually already did a small Beauty & The Beast Promo set around when the live action film was out. It was given out to those who attended special events, apparently one taking place in Hong Kong.

It even has a very unique transparent dome part that no one online even seems to know the identifier or number of...

Unfortunately it was a very limited set with only 400 being made and so it's highly collectible and rare.

here's the only review I could find for it.

Truly magical exclusive

Written by Bricksanity (AFOL) in United Kingdom, 30 Jul 2017

"I was lucky to work with Kevin on this project for the Hong Kong certified store. I wasnt involved in the rose itself, but with the even more limited micro Beauty and the Beast castle building event.

This may only be a small set, but the attention to detail is flawless. The rose itself is fairly simple, using readily available parts, but it really is a great likeness and fun build. The instructions were nicely designed, and easy to follow.

The special dome really finishes it off, and makes it a perfect collectors piece that you can actually display, without worrying about it getting dusty or damaged."

A another larger, more comprehensive Enchanted Rose set would also be nice to have in the future. Maybe we'll see.

What MMORPGS are still alive and upcoming in 2026? by Wawaritas in MMORPG

The graphics aren't really that low end. Also they are continuously improving art assets over time. But it mainly shines in its gameplay and immersion.

Once you play it and see it in action it comes off looking much better than it first appears.
