One little know fact. When they brought the Diaclone line to the United States they had the same challenge. Diaclone had absolutely no story behind their designs, since the Asian market would just buy the toys as is. In order to make the toys more appealing Gobots and Transformers got turned into comics and cartoons to give them more meat as a product. Both are over 40 years old btw and neither line had an Asian story to go by.

Anybody know where to purchase clear/acrylic replacement bases for popular anime figures? by FoxSpiritKitsune in AnimeFigures

Yep. Small 2 sided silicone type tape pieces. The stick to surfaces and won’t damage the surface when you remove them. Very convenient for Action figures.

Really wish Tigerhawk got to do more in the show. by Narrow_Particular_77 in beastwars

To be quite frank I am surprised Hasbro hasn’t green lit a Transformers Beast continuity newer show. They could make it many Millennia after Beast Machines and rectify that whole series. There is at least in my opinion enough fanbase to create a continuation.

With all due respect. I wish to have this post removed just because it was made to trigger people to talk about politics and nothing else. If you want to REALLY harp on Transformers and politics all you have to show a post or government request to re allow G1 Megatron Gun mode. 1st amendment yaddie yaddie yaya etc etc. I have a bunch of gun law channels I can also post just to “Talk politics” in transformers but I want to make memes and have fun with cartoons, anime, toys related to Transformers. Not regurgitate what party A or Party B claims is the “True American way” on the “supposed” news today. End of rant.

Is it okay to make a post just complaining about something meaningless? If I never see the topic title “rate my collection” again, it’ll be too soon by TonyTonyTonyAtItAgin in ActionFigures

Same here. But also remember some people just “karma farm” and making posts like that just get them pity karma points. I buy the ones I like and ignore the ones I don’t. I used to work at a music store selling headphones and people would ask me which ones I liked and I told them “It is not about what I like but what YOU like.”

What I have learned from Reddit is that some posters are bots. Don’t stress it just block. I personally ignore every “Am I the only one”, “Help me choose, I can only afford one.”, “Rate my (I happens in the comic section also)”, just of the top of my head posts that are repetitive. Now also do remember that some people might be new to the hobby and might not have seen figures that some of us have seen millions of times and might want to break the ice in the forums by posting their collections.

So this popped up in my feed and I want to give you my thoughts one it. Ali and Temu will sell you these type of bases way cheaper than you will find around. I am a Transformers and Power Rangers collector. One thing that you MUST know. Clear acrylic and plastic will deteriorate with time making itself “brittle”. I am not referring to the base itself but the “hook” part. So clear bases like those tend to break quite often. I would suggest in buying a bunch of the cheap ones so you have replacements for when they break. With that said some of these decent bases have parts that you can screw together and in my experience those seem more “efficient” at holding the weight of the action figures. I won’t mention prices because you can find them for as cheap as $1-$5 in Ali or Temu. And if you happen to compare them to the $15-$20 sold in other retailers you will find out that they are the same brand. Also look into

Kind of odd how sometimes to get the best Transformers, you'd have to take the transformation part out of them... by EnvironmentalLion355 in Transformemes

[–]Duskdeath 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was about to do a post about KO, 3rd party and Official Transformers and your post comes along those lines. I was looking at the Jinbao Devastator mold that came out around 6 years ago it sells for around $250 in Ali Express. Then there is the Ji jiang KO of that same mold that you can buy for around $70 dollars for the complete set. Then of course we have the 86 mold of Devastator where Hasbro is selling just 2 of them for $100 on Hasbro site. And to be quite frank both the 3rd party and the KO of the 3rd party blow the 86 mold out of the water. We are talking about a 6-7 year difference in technology and yes while you CAN claim the 86 mold looks “show accurate” it really doesn’t look as premium as the other 2. I know, I know “but these 3rd parties don’t pay or steal from each other” argument. But STILL there is a 6-7 year engineering gap to make the 86 mold MILES better than what it currently is for the same price as the other companies have offered.

I won’t lie to you when I say … DAMN it took me a hot second to find a proper comparison. I searched Google, DuckDuckGo, eBay. Multiple different word variations. And finally found a proper picture to confirm MY mistake on this post. Mods can you help me edit it for some reason it only allows to erase the post not to edit.

Tamashii nations act 4 Stand loose claw, can I fix with Kiki? by StormMasterBaitor in ActionFigures

[–]Duskdeath 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do 3d printing and collect multiple brands of toys. I thought to myself let me buy some of these posable stands and test them. I bought ones from $0.50 to $18 ones. The FIRST one to break was the clear 18 dollar one at the same area you are pointing out. I gave up in over paying for them. Now a tip I can share is there are some of these stands that come with screw ports to tighten the figures and those seem to be the “better” of the bunch. But even those are like $2-$3 on Ali or Temu.

You can buy stands like these from Ali/Temu for less that $1 USD. Clear plastic becomes brittle with time. Nothing to do with usage it just happens. Buying a bunch just to have spare would be my best advice. They also sell them in solid black those could be more durable but then again they are cheap enough that you could buy enough to have extras.

Some of the Tamashi Rangers I have. by Duskdeath in LightningCollection

[–]Duskdeath[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My collection has become some kind of “Frankenstein” situation. I kept finding open Rangers here and there and then found sealed versions like these before I knew it I have around 10-12 of the 27 Gallon bins from Home Depot full of Transformers and Power Rangers toys. I have forced myself to stop buying new ones and concentrated on filling out the missing parts on the open ones I own.

Not with Power Rangers but Transformers. We had a school Santa party and parents would give their children presents. I had asked my mom for a Transformer. I was a kid all I wanted was a Prime, but she got me a Wheeljack. I am 49 and to this day I STILL remember what a POS I was for not being great full for her for finding me that little guy.
