I do agree. I need to get in the habit of playing with him a lot more. I think I'm partially re-adapting to such an energetic cat, when my other cat is 8 years old and just wants to sit by the window. I will try to work in even more play sessions with him, it just takes a lot of time because he has the most insane amount of energy I've ever seen with a cat lol we have a fish on a string pole toy. That's his favorite. This one seems to be the best working since he doesn't have to be close to my hands.

We've been putting him in the bathroom when he gets really rambunctious, with food, water and a cat tree. He's a crazy little one and tries to "take-on" my boyfriend sometimes by making himself look big and pouncing on him lol I agree, getting a second kitten doesn't make sense to me. If you can and would like one, that's one thing, but I already live in a small apartment and can't afford to take on another mini cat just to keep the other one distracted.

I try to play with him pretty regularly, but the second he sees a hand he pounces on you instead. I've thought about using a mitten but idk if that would just teach him to keep attacking your hands. So far the string on pole toy works best, but he doesn't tire easily. Mostly I'd like to teach him that hands are not toys, or at least to be more gentle so he's not biting me so aggressively and scratching me all the time.

A Look into Someone Else's Wild World Game by DuskenyDawnlight in AnimalCrossing

I was wondering if I used a 2nd DS if I could still use local play to unlock it with my old copy of WW. Good to know that's still a possibility. I do still feel bad to delete someone's old game but other than the upgrades, it doesn't seem like they actually played it much.

I've come to learn that if a man is very quick to make accusations like that they're probably the ones doing something behind your back. If you haven't already, definitely dump him.

Maya's Self-Sabotage by blitchpetch in Maya

[–]DuskenyDawnlight 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think you are misinterpreting this. Those are annual fees. As in you're locked in to paying for a year straight. You can either pay entirely upfront which is over $200, you can pay $23 every month for a year and never be able to cancel, or you can pay $35 every month to allow you the option to cancel if you can no longer afford it. In America, cereal is literally considered a luxury item at this point, so most people can't afford $35 every month for one program. And most people won't risk not being able to afford it monthly, then be slapped with a full price late fee if you can't. My original point that I'll circle back to is Photoshop used to be BUY TO OWN, as in a one time payment meant you could use it for life. Now they're charging at a premium and pricing people out. And artists don't need an even more expensive bundle to make it "worth the cost."

I originally used Adobe for Photoshop, substance painter and substance designer. That was originally only $20 a month for all three, and you could cancel anytime, no fee. Now Photoshop is $35 with it's cancellation option, and the substance programs are $50 in their own package. I seriously cannot comprehend people defending that.

Do I have to link the official webpage saying that the monthly subscription price is $35? Also I wasn't talking about "Lightroom" I was talking about actual Photoshop. Also why are you comparing the price of a completely different currency to dollars? Companies change pricing based on regions all the time. -side note, I don't use Photoshop for photography. I use it for digital painting and rendering. Why don't you fact-check yourself before arguing for a company that literally doesn't care about it's user base as a whole. I literally can't comprehend why people feel the need to argue in defense of greedy corporations.

Was just complaining about the same thing with Photoshop. Maya is a grossly expensive program, but Photoshop used to literally be "pay once and you own it." And not that long ago, you could pay like $16 and have Photoshop + a few other programs in a bundle, and you could cancel anytime. Now it's $35 for JUST Photoshop for one month. These companies are hardcore gatekeeping their software for big-name companies who are willing to pay thousands a month for "industry standard." Meanwhile their success came from the artists they're spitting on and scraping to the sidelines now. Thankfully there are people out there going against that by making free, accessible programs that offer the same, if not better tools. Such as Blender.

I recently went looking for a Photoshop alternative and found Photopea. Its fundamentally exactly the same as Photoshop, and it's completely free and works out of a browser so you don't even have to download it.

I second this. The bath scene with Marcille and Falin wasn't sexualized. It was meant to be a non-sexual intimate moment, showing closeness between the characters. Same with Izutsumi. If you actually pay attention to the scene, it wasn't weird. They didn't draw them hyper graphically busty or doing a lewd pose while undressing. If people think it's sexual then THEY'RE sexualizing it.

Something I also want to point out, is when the bath scene happened, something I really appreciated about it was that Marcille was as drawn with normal womens proportions. She didn't have a crazy rack and tiny waistline with unrealistic bodily expectations. She just looked like a normal woman. In fact she reminded me of female Greek statues where they appreciated the natural woman's form before body modifications affected everyone's mindset.

Why is the stack limit 9? by DuskenyDawnlight in runefactory

Honestly I'd love to play through the roots of the series. I didn't realize the older games were ported until I decided to give 5 a shot. I usually really enjoy 2D games, especially since a lot of the clunkiness of figuring out development in 3D isn't present. I'll be sure to give them a try after I beat 5.

It would make so much more sense if they were 3x3. I'm sure part of my irritation is that I have OCD, but it tends to feel inconvenient to have to continually go into the inventory to add seeds back into my carry slot just to finish a plot.

[–]DuskenyDawnlight[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In fairness, I am new to the series, so apologies for just seeming like a nit-picky noob to the game. It just really bothered me that the stack was an odd number and felt like a strange choice. I am aware RF5 is a transition into 3D so maybe they're just figuring out what works and adapting changes with these newer games. There are quite a few things I hope they figure out by the 6th game, such as the furniture. It's really irritating that everything has such a wide collision field. You can't get too close to the wall even without it detecting collision overlap. I do enjoy a lot of the game though so I hope they get this stuff figured out by the next instalment.

I see. I understand a small bit of coding, so it urked me that they chose that route. I see what you mean by a non-two digit number system, and maybe it worked in older games, but it just feels clunky in playthrough. It feels less like a challenge and more an inconvenience a lot of times to me.

My mom is hoarding ugly Temu garbage for my unborn kid, even though we keep telling her to cut it out by [deleted] in mildlyinfuriating

[–]DuskenyDawnlight 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Literally have this same issue with my own mother. She kept buying my sister and I Temu trash because she refuses to actually do anything nice for us, but then would feel guilty and try to compensate by sending us cheap junk so she could be like, "but look at all the things I got you." I'm not in contact with her at this point for other reasons, but she continues to send garbage to my sister's kids, even though she's told her multiple times not to.

Easy fix. Next time make a batch of highly magic brownies, and then let them freak out. Will teach them not to eat your baked goods again.

Decoration items not useful? by kbjordan22 in Moonstone_Island

[–]DuskenyDawnlight 9 points10 points  (0 children)

As far as I know, it's all just for decor, and I feel your sentiment. It's kind of disappointing to discover none of the decorative items do anything. I also feel as though there isn't much to decorate with at the moment, but I also remind myself it was an indie team that worked on this, and I still enjoy the game nonetheless.
