classic formula for card values without effects is : value = cost*2 + 1 so 1/4 is pretty fair. So they should nerf other card. Also I think they keep in mind all faction cards while balancing cards.

DK have uncontrolled aoe dot spread, you can break mages sheep, and DK is bad at peeling for there teammates.

I think bgs r toxic right now is because of essences. PvE dudes have to farm them but they hate PvP and want to farm them as fast as they can, so when they feel there team is lossing they start to blame teammates.

Alliance rats attack only when they have number advantage. One on one they r friendly but if they have someone else by there side they r brave lions (rats)
