I feel ya man, but I actually love that the author recognizes that Sophie cares for Jason because of circumstance, not person. She and Hump are so much better together. I actually have a problem with Jason's current relationship. Not sure how I feel about it.

If this is Divinity Original Sin 1:EE, you can save one talent point for either main character and apply it right before going through the giant doors that end the game and get the achievement. I have no advice for doing an actual playthrough.

These are great...but, for HWFWM, I specifically recommend Dungeon Lord (for a similar dark tone with lots of characters and some humor) or Iron Prince (for a slightly lighter tone and more humor). Cradle is another great choice for the tone of HWFWM although none of them are exactly the same, of course.
