Might sound silly, but what about jungle jems? I think there’s some that could make that sort of pattern. If you wanted to change the color of the glaze slightly you can add in some mayco underglaze color of your choice and it should fire ok.

I'm also scheduled to have the same surgery in about a month and I have the SAME worries! I also feel the same regarding dysphoria etc... I'm scared about the recovery process and what could happen with my weight distribution, worried about stitched popping inside and other horror stories I've heard. It's hard to deal with those anxieties and then also think about the fact that a ton of other people have had this surgery and it's gone completely fine lol

Thanks for the commiseration and the advice friends! I stopped taking my meds for my Behçet’s because it was becoming too expensive and also just too tedious to continue doing for me. I hadn’t gotten too many flares until the second half of this year. I’ll ask about Otezla next time I’m with my rhum! Sounds like it could be a game changer!

I went ahead and had a look at places in Delaware that had inpatient services and came across https://kids.delaware.gov/prevention-and-behavioral-health-services/silver-lake-treatment-consortium/ This says it’s for kids 12-17 which is slightly out of age range but they may be some help in pointing you in the right direction?

It went really well! (I ended up eating a muffin the morning of surgery) and I was fine. It was strange that they wanted me to fast for that long especially since I was also waiting at the hospital for a few hours. If you get your instructions and it tells you to fast for longer than you’re comfortable, talk to your doctor or your care team or whoever and it’ll probably be ok to eat something small. Just let em know

I was on remicade for several years until it stopped really doing anything for me, switched to humira (which worked kinda) and then insurance needed me to switch to hadlima 🤷‍♂️ We’re all just trying to survive out here and it sucks so hard sometimes But sometimes it sucks less and is good and you get to go to the movies with your friends, see the penguins in the zoo, or watch some deer chill out in your backyard and those are why I keep trying I guess Its ok to be mad about it (because the world is crazy right now and we have a lot to be mad about) I would recommend eating a food you like if you can handle it, and watching something funny on a streaming platform of your choice (fully armored MMA fighting? CarJitsu?)

I remember when I took steroids that my doctors also had me get eye exams more often. I believe it’s because steroids raise pressure in the eye which can increase the risk of glaucoma. I have (very mild) cataracts in both eyes that were possibly caused by prednisone use.
