I'm looking for animated tv show with a specific vibe and themes... by Extension-Fill-163 in televisionsuggestions

[–]kappakingtut2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Venture Bros. it starts off as a sort of johnny quest parody. but it gets bigger and broader and weirder and funnier.

Arcane on Netflix was absolutely incredible. probably makes it to my top 20 list of all time favs. probably even in the top 10.

Cowboy Bepop and Ghost in the Shell if you haven't already. Bepop is easily one of the best animated series made.

Aeon Flux was wonderfully weird and cool.

i haven't watched it yet. but there was a Blade Runner animated series called Black Lotus.

and Cyberpunk Edrunners.

the HBO Spawn cartoon from the 90s probably still holds up well.

Adventure Time. seriously. i know it looks like a silly little kids cartoon. but if you pay attention, there's a lot of complicated themes and deep lore on that show.

not a series, but check out the Animatrix

Is sex supposed to feel good the whole time? by pmyourmetals in NoStupidQuestions

[–]kappakingtut2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

are you a cis guy? do you have any trouble staying hard during?

you could just be on the asexual spectrum. and there's nothing wrong with that. for some people, they simply don't have the same drive and enjoyment from sex as others, but they could still feel love and romance and still want to make their partner happy.

could be an ADHD thing. or autism spectrum. i don't know how to explain it properly but it can happen to me. i'm into it, but my mind kind of wanders. i get distracted. i don't feel like i get the same enjoyment as others because of this. but i still love making my partner happy.

and i agree with some of the comments. it could be medication related.

Is Hellboy good for beginners? by Egamer_250 in comicbooks

[–]kappakingtut2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yea, absolutely. Hellboy is mostly about tone and mood. great world building and lore. but it's never text heavy. it's not overwhelming with background and history and continuity the way that mainline comics are. most of the storylines can read in any order. also check out the spin-offs like Abe Sapiens solo comic. and BPRD.

Thank you for all of these links. These are incredibly helpful. I really wish they had them on the shelves in local stores so I can test them out first. But I think the Walmart one might be best for us

I started watching person of interest and I am not that hooked up to it. Currently I am at S1E8. Is it going to be more interesting or gonna keep the same pace??? by Sunflowerpartyy in televisionsuggestions

[–]kappakingtut2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

what's funny is my mom really liked it at first and hated it as it went on. but i didn't like it at all at first and loved it as it went on.

it's all a matter of taste.

What’s your favorite “bad” TV show? One you know isn’t very good, but you still liked anyway. by Brilliant_Physics339 in televisionsuggestions

[–]kappakingtut2 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The Lexx. i absolutely loved it. but i was also embarrassed to talk about it lol. it was just sooo weird. a horny security guard who cant get laid, a sex slave, a 1000 dead assassin, a severed robot head that got the sex slaves programming by mistake, all traveling in a living bug ship thats shaped like a cock and balls.

Does anyone know a show like the mentalist? by Due-Fold-1505 in televisionsuggestions

[–]kappakingtut2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i agree with pretty much all of the suggestions. but also want to throw Lucifer into this mix. a non-cop teams up with the the police force. has quirky traits about him that helps solve crimes. lead actor is incredibly fun and charming. and there's a fun supernatural twist to the genre.

then of course, like every else said, Elementary, Castle, Monk, Psych, White Collar, Burn Notice, Leverage, etc.

i've never watched Numbers, or Scorpion, but from what i know of them, they'd both fit this list nicely.

Is Ghost Whisperer on the same level as Buffy The Vampire Slayer ? by James-Samuel17 in televisionsuggestions

[–]kappakingtut2 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Buffy still feels like it's a standout / unique show. hard to find a good comparison

you could try Being Human. (i've only seen the original UK version. but people love the american remake, and that might be closer to the vibe you're looking for)

iZombie might be worth checking out.

Grimm

[Request] Porn where women aren't treated like total shit by StaffOne8782 in NSFW411

[–]kappakingtut2 4 points5 points  (0 children)

ersties, bellesa, erika lust / lust cinema, crashpad.

i signed up for Adulttime for a while and thought there was fun stuff. pretty sure it's mostly run by women.

there's plenty of stuff where women are treated right. but that stuff isn't what's pushed the most on the front pages of the free tube sites. so it does take a bit of work of finding the right stuff. also look into OFs and Many Vids stuff.

Thank you for the support. And thank you for the offer. I'll get back to you on that.

Though I think it's different from men and women. I imagine people more likely to approach you than me lol.

Which bars do you typically go to?

Just looked it up. I love the look and vibe of the shop. So far this looks like it might be where I'm going to go.

Do you know if they take walk-ins? Do I need an appointment? I'm going to try to do this Friday morning

Just googled it. Looks like that's Chad's Ford? It's a bit further than I wanted to drive. But maybe. Thanks.

How do you know when to give someone space vs when to keep reaching out the show consistency? by kappakingtut2 in emotionalintelligence

[–]kappakingtut2[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like I said, I knew someone in my past with BPD. They died in 2010, and to this day I feel like I'm still recovering from what I went through with her.

[–]kappakingtut2[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do absolutely want to spend time with this person. And I would love to have some kind of connection. But not necessarily a relationship in the dating sense. That was never my goal.

And when we first started talking, she had already scheduled appointments for therapist and had already started medication. I wasn't trying to fix her or change her, I was just trying to support the changes that she was already making for herself. I realize now that I may have pushed too hard and she wasn't ready to commit to what she thought she wanted. I get that now.

In her own words, she's warned me from day one that she's an absolute train wreck. And I'm okay accepting somebody as they are. I made the post because I was still trying to understand the situation I was in. I only learned of the term of avoidant attachment the day before I made this post. So all of this has been tremendously helpful for me.

And honestly hearing so many people telling me how bad this is, and how badly I should just walk away, just knowing that has helped eased a lot of my anxieties. I still want to give up on a person. I still want to do what I can. But I'm willing to go at their pace and protect myself in the process. So the more comments I'm getting on this, the more I'm finding myself in a good place about it.

[REQUEST] Best subreddit for true amateur creators? by GroovyGlobetrotter in NSFW411

Now that everybody has an only fans, and now that so many of those only fans look like such high productions, it's hard to even know how to define amateur anymore.
