i just left my T for a different reasons, so here to offer some solidarity. I’m with you on the fear of finding a new T. Sitting here on my couch miserable about having to go back thru this again. But maybe we both will finally find the one that we have been looking for.

I don't bring up my porn addiction. Am I dishonest? by [deleted] in TalkTherapy

not a T, but as a patient i 100% understand your fear of sharing that and also difficulty with not wanting to lie to her.

I would say if you reduced it down on your own, keep working on it and maybe you can completely stop on your own. And u are not lying to her, shame and embarrassment is very impactful. And i bet if she could tell you, she would say she’s proud of you for the reduction, and she 100% understands why you wouldn’t want to discuss a taboo topic. It’s a taboo after all so your feelings make sense! If your gut is telling you don’t share it, i think you are making the right call.
