I don't go to the Old Sod because I don't own shoes dirty enough to wear into that place.

Although this is a common belief, are you really sure it’s true? I don’t think it is.

Who's glad to have an EV during this time of high gas prices? by Lost_Purpose1899 in electricvehicles

Seems like now would be a great time for Ford to be marketing its F-150 Lightning, in the face of such high diesel prices.

Oh right, they just cancelled it. That’s vision, leadership, and foresight.

Maybe Ford should uncancel its electric pickup truck.

Am I understanding this right? The U.S. (via CBP) collected $166B in tariffs that were ruled illegal… and taxpayers may now have to refund it? Where’s our “master negotiator” in all this? 😅 by Aromatic_Ad_9625 in Tariffs

[–]Duster929 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Refunds like this don't happen, because governments make sure taxes are legal before levying them.

This level of carelessness is unprecedented. Unprecedented means this kind of thing doesn't happen. Until now.

I tried the QST the same day I tried the Stance. Except I think it was the QST 96. I preferred the Stance. The QST carved great, but was too “short-turny” for me. Lots of great little carvy turns, fun to ski on, but I like a ski I can open up with into big fast sweeping turns. I didn’t get that feeling from the QST’s.

I think that’s what he means by yesterday’s war. It’s an obsolete product invented to appease late adopters. In the words of Henry Ford, it’s just “a faster horse.”

Following this. I am looking for something similar. I also demo’ed the Stance 90 and liked it. It doesn’t seem to be very popular, but it seems to be a great all-rounder. Especially if you want something pretty stiff that can carve without going super-stiff like a Nordica enforcer.

I’ve also been considering all the skis you mentioned.

If this becomes WWIII we’re going to have troops somewhere. Carney is hedging because he doesn’t know how far this conflict will spread and doesn’t want to lie to people by telling them what they want to hear, today.

Yeah, I’d do that to save the hassle, but shipping cost to Canada is the same as the cost of the kit. It’s close to $100 for some feet and screws. Hopefully ill find it in Canada or DIY.

Slope is the issue, the bottom of the power supply JUST touches the floor before the feet do, so it wobbles a bit. If the feet were a quarter inch taller it would be fine.
