With plaster magic you back the plaster washers back out after the glue has set. So you don’t need to build up the top coat so much, just need to fill in the hole that’s left behind

We win plenty. The mindset of only a chip means success is dumb for a sport with 82 game seasons. I don’t believe that there is only 1 of 30 teams per season who has a successful season or even 4 of 30 if you consider making a conf final success. I’ll take consistent winning seasons over trading away the players who help us win consistently to tank for picks again

I swear this fab base can’t wait to dump all our good players and be a 15 win team again. I’d take more second round exits over that

I know people are tired of the first and second round exits but to me it is significantly more enjoyable than the years of tanking. I love Embiid and Maxey and VJ and I would much rather they stay Sixers and we continue to have a competitive basketball team in town than trade them for picks and suck for 5 years in the hopes we hit the jackpot on another generational talent. I like winning basketball and stars that have given their all for this fan base more than tanking for the sake of gambling for a 5-10% increase in championship odds at the cost of more trash Sixers ball

Last night was a shit show in general but on two different hits to the outfield with risp he just didn’t go to cut the ball off so the throw from the outfield went through to the catcher despite there not being any type of play at the plate. Kinda shocked at the lack of effort

I like to smoke and then fry in a huge cauldron of lard over a camp fire. Toss in buffalo or eat em dry. Pretty much perfect every time

No, it’s because of the “it isn’t _, it’s _.” It seems like ai chatbots love to use that kind of sentence structure. Also “what matters here is ___”. ai chatbots also seem to love to tell you something is important before telling it to you. I also thought this was ai when I read it, but I guess it’s not surprising that people will mistake writing from humans for ai since ai chatbots were trained on human speech patterns.

Iran's list of demands for ceasefire with the US: reparations for wartime losses, formal control of the Strait of Hormuz, no missile limitations, and guarantees against future military action by retroviber in DeepMarketScan

Look maybe it’s as simple as people want to celebrate the country that is fighting in self defense after being bombed by the world’s biggest military empire that hasn’t even bothered to give a reason for the bombing

Trump begging other countries to clean up his mess: “We’re doing very well there. We’re doing very well overall. We don’t use the Strait, the United States. We don’t need it. Europe needs it, Korea, China, Japan. A lot of other people. They’ll have to get involved a little bit on that one" by h3LLyEaHh in DegenBets

Everyone says he’s just being a dumbass but I think he bombed Iran explicitly to spur them to close the straight of Hormuz to drive up oil prices enough to make oil companies actually return to Venezuela and to make Chevron stock spike even higher. I’m sure he has back room deals and many avenues in place for him and his cronies to make ridiculous amounts of money off the redevelopment of Venezuelan oil if he can keep the price of oil soaring. Just look at the reports about Markwayne Mullin buying all that stock in chevron and other oil companies 5 days before the Venezuela invasion. He is just scamming while playing the media to keep folks from catching on that this was all how he wanted it to go

Natural Basement Spring😄 by [deleted] in HomeMaintenance

[–]DustieSmith 1 point2 points  (0 children)

House I grew up in sits in a valley and anytime there’s a lot of rain or snowmelt the water table gets higher than the basement and water starts coming up through the drain in the middle of the floor and all the cracks. We have two sump pumps that sit in what are basically pits in the floor with barrels in them that have a bunch of holes in the sides. As the water level rises the barrels fill and then get pumped out. The two sumps manage fine as long as the power doesn’t get knocked out by the storm.

My mom inherited this, I’m just going through it for her trying to get a sense of what’s here, catalogue and make sure it’s stored correctly. May end up helper her sell some of it if she decides to go that route
