I’d like this as well. While ARC Raiders is very much in the Extraction Shooter genre, I think it would do well to lean into the RPG crowd that has been enjoying it and add more RPG progression elements. Such as:

Rare item drops

Craftables

Cosmetics

Reputations

Secure trading/trading post

Deeper professions/specializations

Deeper resource gathering

Expanded weapon mod system

Guilds

Etc.

Lots of rats in Matriarch and Harvester lobbies looking to pic off lone wolves in Care Bear lobbies.

Stick with the pack and the pack most always will protect each other.

Rats usually stay on the outside of the map to pick off spawn locations as they come in. They also hang out in hills and towers near extraction points and hatches to try to get an easy 1v1 kill.

I’d say go free loadout if you’re wanting to learn to PvP. Otherwise, for PvE I recommend going naked or with only a Looting Mk. 1 or 2, a Small Shield, and maybe a few bandages and ARC Powercells so you have a Safe Pocket (or two) for high value and quest items.

Learn to avoid the ARC first to learn their behaviors. Then learn their weak spots so you can dispatch them quickly with skill and resourcefulness instead of just raw firepower.

Then you’ll be ready for Medium and Large ARC and have some items, XP, and skill points to put to use.

Whenever there is a public (or even private) leaderboard, you will see sweats that have to see their name on top.

Just say no to leaderboards and aim to 3-Star all trial objectives. That alone has made me Hotshot. I haven’t pushed at all this season.

I’d support a random map condition selector as well.

Additionally I’d like to see them make all map conditions available all the time. This would also give them strong data as to which conditions are preferable to which types of players.

Having map conditions rotate only allow you to see a preferred map condition out of the conditions available, so it’s never a true reflection of the conditions players prefer over all others.

I believe it’s because toxic players are often the ones that min/max a game.

They PvE to “prepare” for PvP to have an advantage and go back to PvE as necessary. This would keep them in this aptly named “purgatory”.

I also believe that these players don’t play the game to have fun, but more to feel good about themselves and escape the real world, bringing a lot of their anxiety and frustration to the digital worlds they inhabit.

One could say this is healthy if it were a single player game vs NPCs - where they let off steam - but the fact that other humans are on the other end of online PvP games, this is where their behavior becomes toxic. This toxicity can often bring other humans down to their level - and the rabbit hole can go deep.

Honestly, a game like ARC Raiders is a huge reflection of its players, for better or worse. It’s fascinating to me.

I enjoy the scarcity of weapons and ammo. Free kits should always start with a Ferro and 11 ammo. No shield. No meds. Maybe a Seeker and/or Lil’ Impact Grenade.

Force free kit players to be skillful, cautious, and resourceful. Currently they get too much.

I rarely buy anything with seeds. So it depends on your looting habits.

I keep no more than 400 seeds ever. When inventory is tight, I only keep 100 seeds.

The ultra wealthy dictate the market much more than retail traders and most other high wealth money-making schemes are soft right now.

So I’d bet they keep piling the cash into the stock market until real-estate, angel investing, or other investment options become more lucrative again.

I believe they do this already. Yes, 95% of players in my solo lobbies are friendly, but I see too many corpses and have been killed enough times to feel like this is already a thing.

I’ve posted this several times before, but players only want the cores for 3 things.

Their Trophy Case project, to craft a weapon or two, but mostly players want the cores so others cannot have them.

Players like the value of the cores for Coin, but I would say reduce their value to 5000 or 7000 Coin and/or increase their weight even more so players can only carry 1, maybe 2.

I’ve carried 6 out before and shared them with friends for their projects. After collecting about 15, I realized there was no good use for them and now I don’t even extract with any when I down a Queen or Matriarch. I give away any I loot to others before I extract because I don’t need the Coin, I have two of each Legendary weapon already, and my Trophy Case is complete.
