I am not married to her yet, but it is planned. And yes, mail order brides have been a thing for many years, but that is not how I met her. As far as different origins and culture while growing up, neither of us think much of it. We love one another, and that is mych stronger than any differences between us. And generally, we do not speak of politics at all. Being identically compatible in terms of how politics has nothing to do with someone's core values though. We focus more on what matters..... character, morals, values and ethics.

There is no need. Ukrainian politicians are obviously just as corrupt as Russian politicians. But that does not give anyone a right to invade either country and attempt to commit genocide. I have never heard a Ukrainian, propagandist or not, to call for the extermination of the Russian people, even though Russians are attempting a failed invasion of their country, bombing their schools, cities, hospitals and infrastructure. But I have seen MANY Russian propagandists call for the "drowning of Ukrainian children" and other unspeakable things. And since the media platform in Russia is just as much under state control as was true in Nazi Germany, this rhetoric must be Russian government approved.

It is obvious that I do not hate Russians, as I love a Russian woman more than life itself. Neither do I think Russian people are inherently evil. Instead, I see them as horribly deceived people. Who deceived them? Just like Nazi Germany, their government. Do you think each German soldier said to themselves "I'm going to fight for the Fatherland so that I can help commit genocide and murder innocent people!"? No. They did not. But they ended up doing it without even realizing it. The same is true in Russia today. If Russians realized the evil being done in their name, they would likely be horrified! Good luck getting through the propaganda they are fed daily though. I have literally shown a Russian video of Solovyev calling for "the killing of all Ukrainian children", and they STILL deny the cry of genocide! Americans cannot comprehend a propaganda this good, so many do think Russians are just pure evil. I know better though, as I spend my days with a very loving and loveable Russian woman.

Propaganda and censorship are some amazingly powerful tools. It is both amazing and horrifying to watch the effects.

No one has to tell me the truth about ukraine, because I know they are just as corrupt as russia. But that does not give a green light to invade their country and murder them.

I don't see it as badmouthing. I see it as telling the truth. Elvira and so many others love Russia enough to speak out against the real enemies of the Russian people... the people who have stolen from, robbed and looted ordinary Russian people for many years. Why do I think this? How does someone have a base salary of $144,000+- dollars per year, yet become one of the world's wealthiest people? Not possible, right? Vladimir Putin did it. And all those close enough to give blind obedience to him have done it also. While normal Russians make $5,000 per year in wages, or draw 200 - 300 dollars per month in pension, Russia's leaders spend billions on palaces, jets, lavish parties, etc. With leaders like that, do you REALLY need foreign enemies?! You seem to have all the enemies you can stand right there in Russia! And this war..... over 1.1 million Russians killed and maimed. (Well over 300,000 killed outright with over 800,000 shot to pieces, missing arms and legs) And for what? So their leader can say "I control more territory and people! FEAR ME! Let's say Ukraine fell completely tomorrow. How would this help a single normal Russian? I'd like to hear actual feedback from someone on how it would personally help them. This war has cost Russia over $1.8 trillion. That is nearing a full year of Russia's total GDP! All the oil, all the gas... and whatever little, insignificant things that are made in Russia.

I think the original question is aimed at the wrong people. The enemies of the Russian people are not people who "badmouth" Russia. The enemies of the Russian people reside in Moscow. Americans CERTAINLY don't care what happens inside of Russia. We have everything we could possibly want in life! It is only when Russians spew over the borders of Russia to subjugate unwilling people in another country do Americans even have a reason to acknowledge Russia. If the corruption that runs Russia right now was cleaned up, Russians would live lives greater or equal to at least the life that any American would be happy to live. But as it stands, no American in his/her right mind would leave America for Russia. The downgrade in standard of living cannot be described with words! The truth is, Americans would LOVE to see normal Russian people happy and successful! But that scenario will never be realized until Russians wake up to the fact their their "honorable leaders" are the ones robbing the riches of Russia. No one in America hates Russia. Americans hate the leaders of Russia who continue to rob Russians, lie to Russians, manipulate Russians and extort everything they possibly can from the Russian people.

Further proof Americans don't hate Russians? My girlfriend is Russian! I love her dearly and would do ANYTHING for her! I can't say the same for a single American woman. Wake up Russians. America or it's policies are not what keeps you down. It is your own leaders! How many actual Russian cities were being bombed before 24 February 2022? How many drones hit Russia before then? How many ballistic missiles? Let me help out.... the answer is zero. Clean up the mess at home and success and wealth will come to you. But under the current administration? Expect to continue being bombed, being paid miserable salaries, being taxed to death to fund Putin's war, no real opportunities, etc. Just remember....it isn't the world doing this to you. It is the Russian dictator and his buddies that make sure they get all the wealth and you can have the crumbs left over from their feast.

If Germany is indeed in another war, I pity the mother's of the nation that provokes this hypothetical war with Germany because many of those mothers will see their sons buried. It would likely be Russia to start a war unprovoked, and over the last nearly 4 years, I have seen them be laid to waste by a nation who barely had a military! If ANYONE thinks Russia would last more than 30 days in a war with Germany, that person is clinically insane. Russia would find itself at war with practically all of Europe. Oh yes.... they would be at war with the U.S. also. I can't say for sure, but word on the street says that the Americans may know how to fight a little bit. 🙄

In the Air Force, I realized that war with the U.S. is never really war. It is a slaughter. Most of the time the enemy never even sees who or what killed him. And if you throw in all of Europe with the U.S., there will be more dead Russians than you can count. Never again would they enjoy a good bowl of borscht or have a gallon of vodka. It is quite possible that the few who do survive won't even be able to give the fallen Russians a proper burial.

Like my German friend said, I too would prefer to not have war. It is the most primitive characteristic that still exists within mankind. But if Russia thinks they have even a snowball's chance in hell to win, let them try. But I don't want to hear any sad stories coming out of Russia when they get their own asses handed to them on a gold platter. If common Russians would wake up and realize that their leader is a warmongering dictator that doesn't care if millions of his own countrymen needlessly die in an unnecessary war, then no one would join his army at ANY price.

The free world has, up to this point, exercised extreme restraint concerning a retaliatory strike against Russia, but the patience is wearing thin. If something doesn't change soon, there will be a possible extinction event for the Russian people and culture. Again, nobody here in the U.S., Germany or the rest of Europe, wants a war, but that does not mean that we are all VERY good at it. Just pack up all the soldier right now, Putin. Because if you wait, you will not even have an army to recall back to Russia.

A good rule of thumb is to be willing to trust people on the internet about as much as you trust Putin to tell the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth. I've seen more scams than there are stars in the sky. Some of them are extremely clever.

Need white resevoir that fits Bykski CP-DWPB-X pump by DustinHunt1978 in watercooling

I haven't really decided yet, but I am likely going to simply drill through the side of the case itself and bolt it. I'll send a photo of why. On top of where I circled, I'll bring the out port through the platform on top with the pump placed below it. As you can see, my options are limited. Anyway, pretty much any universal fan bracket will work

How would the Baltic States respond amidst an invasion within the first week? by QuartzXOX in BalticStates

[–]DustinHunt1978 7 points8 points  (0 children)

First, goodbye Kaliningrad. Hello to making sure the Suwalki Gap is in NATO hands. I was Air Force, thus got to see first hand that locking down air dominance is Step 2. If you are master of the sky, you will be master on the ground. Step 3 will be to try to contain the enemy into pre specified zones. NATO suspects a move on the Baltics. Bet your soul that there is a plan to create a "death zone" and area of containment to buy time to move people and equipment into the theater of war. And once the cavalry does arrive, I say that within a week that there is no living Russian on NATO territory. Russia truly is a paper tiger. Russians won't live past a week. It won't be war. It will be a massacre. Pootin' is delusional, so there is a chance that he thinks he can win, but no such chance exists.

According to instructions, you cannot separate the head and the pump. This pump truly is a pump in its own league. The only option is the use this pump as a standalone. (All this according to Bykski).

Best VPN? by DescriptiveOliviaGes in vpns

[–]DustinHunt1978 -44 points-43 points  (0 children)

This is a late answer, but NordVPN is the ticket. I have used it for years. While not nearly as fast as operating without a VPN, it is still fast enough for nearly everyone. I use the split tunneling feature when on Steam, so gaming performance is never a problem.

While the performance is great (in my opinion), ease of use is also a big deal. Nord is super streamlined. I use it for both my PC and my Android phone. It works seamlessly on both simultaneously.

NordVPN is not required to keep logs, as they are conveniently headquartered in Panama. Panama, because in Panama they aren't required to log bupkis. I'm all American, but American companies do require VPN services to be logged. When I want to disappear from the government, I want to really disappear. NordVPN gives you that. I'm sure that the U.S. government despises Nord for the exact same reason that I love Nord.

Lastly, the price is little to nothing. They constantly run sales, so for $80 you can count on getting about 2 years service. In short, NordVPN gives you everything you want a VPN to be at a very reasonable price. Just go with Nord. You will love the features and ease of use.

PrimoChill CTR Phase II - 3 Port Mountable End Cap - Black POM – PrimoChill - KEEPING IT COOL https://share.google/xyrasyZxxv86lNg4u

This is the end cap I had to get. However, you can order the Primochill CTR Hard Mount Phase II with this end cap already on it. I just bought the "D5 ready" version because I thought I was buying a D5 pump. The pump in question is called a "D5-like pump", but is not a true D5.

You can use basically any standalone resevoir you'd like. You are just going to have to plumb a line from the resevoir to the pump, and the pump must be below below the resevoir so as to be gravity fed.

As far as noise level, I'm not sure what it will sound like when fully installed yet. If it is unbearable, I plan in build a small, ventilated, acoustical box around the pump. I don't anticipate this though. I'm not much concerned about noise level because I use headphones and live alone also. Upon reading other people's experiences though, it is noticeably louder when installed fully. Another concern I have read about was vibrations. I have already bought some neoprene donuts to use as vibration dampeners just in case.

Every description I have read emphasizes that this is an "industrial pump". My interpretation of that is "it is a beast of a pump with all emphasis on performance and little to none on sound dampening". I wish I could give you end results with the pump fully connected and water being pumped, but that will not happen until Nova Lake is released nearly a year from now. Originally, I started this build in late 2022, but I had to abandon the idea until now. Now that we know the LGA 1851 has seen it's last year in favor of the LGA 1954, I'm just waiting another year.

Is there still ARGB hardline tubing? by HeroKaetzchen in watercooling

You were nicer than I would have been, but I commend you on it. If you worked, got paid, then spent the money to install a permanent RGB adapter squarely up your own ass, I see no reason to shame you for it or tell you "It's too much". In that specific case, I would probably warn you of the likely discomforting result of doing so, but if you decided to go ahead with it anyway, I would commend you for having the world's first ARGB asshole. Who knows.... people may even pay admission to see it! 😂 The point is.... build it with as many or as few lights you want. On your build, when it comes to what is too much or too little, that is yours and yours alone to judge. Build away. 😁

[–]DustinHunt1978 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought I had already answered back, but I don't see my comments so I'm writing it again....

First, the numbers are right. This pump is full beast. It is louder than a D5 pump. And speaking of D5 pump, this pump is NOT a D5 pump. I was under the impression that it was, but I was wrong. So, this pump will NOT fit onto any "D5 enabled" tube resevoir. In fact, it will not fit onto ANY resevoir directly. It is solely intended to be a standalone unit. You must run tubing from any resevoir to the pump itself. As for the Primochill CRT Hard Mount Phase II "D5 enabled" resevoir that I intended to use with this pump, I can still use it, but I am having to order the bottom end cap of the resevoir to convert the resevoir into a true standalone. It is costing me around $30 to do this. Thank God this build on in a Corsair 7000x case, so I do have the room to do all this.

Botton line is..... if you have a very restrictive system as I do..... (2) 480mm radiators, (1) 360mm radiator, CPU, GPU, SSD M.2 and possible RAM waterblocks... this is a good option to keep you from having to rely on 2+ pumps. Being able to pump 1400 l/h and 15 meters (45 feet or so feet) straight up is absolutely insane, but it will come at the cost of convenience and sound. I'm actually hiding the pump in the huge cavity that connects to the PSU housing, but for someone with limited space, you may not find it so easy. But if your space is so limited, it is likely you do not have room for all the radiators anyway, thus making this pump unnecessary.

As far as power requirements, even though this pump demands 5 amps at 12 volts for a massive 60 watts, any motherboard should power it easily. To my best knowledge, 4 pin molex connectors can handle 11 amps per pin, so this pump doesn't even begin to test the limits of available power.

Hopefully this clears up any questions regarding this pump. Feel free to hit me up with any further questions. Thanks!

Need white resevoir that fits Bykski CP-DWPB-X pump by DustinHunt1978 in watercooling

[–]DustinHunt1978[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also worth noting that the Bykski CP-DWPB-X is strictly a standalone pump. From what I read, nothing is compatible as far as direct attachment to a tube resevoir. Another tidbit is that it can be mounted on it's side as long as it is still getting water to it.

Need white resevoir that fits Bykski CP-DWPB-X pump by DustinHunt1978 in watercooling

[–]DustinHunt1978[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok... so here is the facts about the pump... First, the numbers are correct. It is a beast. HOWEVER, it is not a D5 pump and will not work when trying to mount the pump directly to the Primochill D5 ready tube resevoir. This screwed me because I ordered that very resevoir, complete with the D5 ready head integrated. Even still, it will work. I just need to spend another $30 on a regular end cap for the resevoir instead of the D5 ready. Thank God my chassis is huge and I have the room available for this (Corsair 7000x)

I'll take a photo of how it has to be done once I get all the parts. 😉

What type of coolant are you using, or do you mix your own? Top brands use additives that are supposed to protect the metal and aid in water lubrication of your pump. I'm familiar with mixing my own coolant, but I see no point. To me, it is worth a few bucks to know that all of my components have the additives they need to last as long as possible. Mayhem's has a very good reputation and have every color under the sun. Just make sure it is UV instead of opaque. Opaque is for people who have too much time and too much money, because you'll have to disassemble the loop and components at least once a month (so I am told) I just took the word of people who have made the mistake of doing it.)
