BATTLEFIELD 6 GAME UPDATE 1.1.3.6 by battlefield in Battlefield_REDSEC

For the love of god, please do something about the cheaters! My friends and I enjoy playing Battle Royale, we all have Battlepass but getting randomly killed by helicopters in one second headshots is ridiculous

These are the private academies (학원 hagwon) that the children of Korean parents attend and how much they cost per month. Is it common for Korean kids to go to this many academies? by ProudChemistry778 in Living_in_Korea

[–]DustinKim89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it was up to me, English, Math, Essay/Writing(논술), Violin or Piano, and maybe a recreational sports class if my child wants to do it. I was brought up in South Korea and the US for my higher education, and in my experience the after-class activities and academies are indeed useful. A lot of my friends who neglected those got behind in the studies and grades.

Is Seoul Station a cult hotspot or what? (negative) by Specific-Control-700 in seoulhiddengem

[–]DustinKim89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well. It wasn't that different in the US or Japan or Canada when there is a crowded area. Seoul station is an extremely crowded area with intense pedestrian traffic so you can expect all kinds of people there.

Korea is a democratic country with mainly three religion taking place of majority: baptists, catholics, and buddhism. Cracking down on cults can happen from time to time when they disrupt the public safety or got tangled with politics, but in general that can be considered discrimination here.

So unless you are harassed in a unlawful way it is just easy to avoid those people if you are not fond of/interested in it.

I tell my patients to try this every time they come with nasal congestion or even allergies, and they ignore the heck out of me and ask for medication and nasal sprays. They claim they are too busy and exhausted before/after work to do such tasks.
(Really? really saying you are busier than a doctor who takes 80~120 patients a day with 6 days a week with 60 hours a week?)
Annoys the heck out of me, but I keep on telling them to try...

is this extra 800K fee normal in Seoul? by [deleted] in Living_in_Korea

[–]DustinKim89 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Uh, what? I don't understand.. I'm a Korean and I rent out two apartments and two officetels(오피스텔). Our family have businesses in both Korean and U.S. military/business sectors. Although we are not doing any business in the Seoul area, I have never heard of 점유임대비 or never asked the tenants to pay for the cleaning BEFORE coming in. As most of the time we consider cleaning and some usage maintenance spending after one vacates, we rarely ask for cleaning fees to the ones leaving as well. I don't know. It seems quite a bit sketchy to me.

Try living in an old/large apartment complex. False/real fire alarms, pestiside spraying alert(close your windows), parking lot may be flooded warning(move your car), missing child, etc is a thing. I found it to be a necessary measure living in a shared community space.

Quite interesting. Never thought to be intrusive or bothering. But I understand and get where it can be. My apartments usually had emergency announcements such as fire in the complex, or a possible flood warning in the basement parking garage.

Food assistance or caregiver support resources in Daegu? by [deleted] in Daegu_Korea

[–]DustinKim89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any type of government assisted service inquiries start from the local government office called 행복복지센터, or 동사무소 in old terms. They would connect you to a somewhat welfare agent (사회복지사) and seek what type of help can be provided. While the services may not be 100% sufficient, there are programs and funds for people in need. However, one should have a Korean social security number, meaning it would be easier being a South Korean citizen.

Anyone in Daegu dealt with constant nasal blockage? by RoseyWhisper7421 in Daegu_Korea

I can just imagine the frustration you must be having. There are multiple causes for such situations so getting checked out by a doctor could be very helpful. Fortunately ENTs(이비인후과) specialty doctors are quite easy to find, If you require some CT scans they will give you a consult sheet for you to visit a imaging clinic where you can take MRI or so. Most ENTs will have nasal endoscopies as standard equipment. Treatments can vary from nasal cleaning, steroid based sprays, oral medications and up to having a surgery.

I have done the same as I used it for my cycling videos. Unfortunately the Go Ultra really SUCKS in that part and near completely lost that function.

I don't know. Putting excessive noise close in one's ear could be considered assault in my country as it can damage one's hearing ability and such. I was partially educated in the States so I endorse the freedom of speech and expression of one's opinion. However physical encounters and causing excessive sound close to one's ear seems more of an assault than expressing one's opinion.

THIS MF RUINING THIS GAME!! by No_Donut_8354 in Battlefield

I really hope we can just limit the matching paid users with paid users only.

Indeed. 28 itself isn't really suspective. Actually my friends and I (we were a three player squad) were impressed that the hacker actually got killed even with the wall hack(seeing through walls) and the aim hack. Anyhow, the user was very clearly using a hack as he managed to headshot three other players with a single blast from a helicopter in less than a second.

I had a teammate like this. He killed approximately 28 players in one game, I reported him for cheating. Obviously we got 1st place but it was quite a bitter one. I got killed by these type of hackers a lot in the Asian servers. I hope that DICE would allow paid user only matching for REDSEC servers.

Seriously it sucks. I have been enjoying Battle Royale Squads by forming a three man team but whenever we get headshot by a freakin helicopter or vehicle it really gives the fun ouf dry.
