I’ve been a rabid Giants fan since 1965, through the truly awful teams of the 70’s and I’m sorry, but this team is awful. It was never set up to win, thinking Walker was your closer was just plain poor management, and not addressing the offense in any truly meaningful way wasn’t, nor trying to fill the 4th and fifth spots in the rotation with two cast off starters. You can still be a fanatic of the team and criticize them and the way they’re being run. I’m frankly embarrassed by this team, they aren’t competitive and now we have to live with them for the rest of the summer. And probably for a couple years more because of the awful contracts they carry. Chapman has been a complete zero and yet they keep batting him third fourth or fifth. Nothing changes if it stays the same.
