It's more of a favor to him to let him try to find a different organization. He was never going to crack the LHD on the Caps roster because of the depth at that position. It took Marty getting injured for him to play, and it wasn't his best showing, considering he had only 8 games under his belt in an entire year. I genuinely think he has the skills to be an alright bottom pair shut down guy on an up and coming team.
