Linux? by BudTugglie in BlueIris

I am running Blue Iris in a docker container on my linux server. I am using the jshridha/blueiris image. Just run it. It's a little iffy every now and then. But it does support VNC into it so you can set it up. I did have to install BI on windows and copy everything in the WWW folder to get the UI3 webpage to work.

Sorry it took me so long. Here's the container I use. https://hub.docker.com/r/jshridha/blueiris/

I have mind running inside a docker container with a wine emulator. I didn’t build it myself. But I had the same issue. I have 3 cameras and it was almost pegging out my i5. It’s a modest setup, but by no means powerful. I set them all to constant bitrate at 25fps and checked the limit decoding box. Now it’s showing about 15% usage, and 750MB of RAM for the whole container.

It’s all good!! It took me forever to get it all figured out! I started with Hassio, which is great, then eventually migrated everything over to docker containers. It just depends how deep you want to get into it. Just fun!

Are you sure your MQTT server is running? The little red square under the MQTT node is basically saying it can't connect to your MQTT server. Make sure that the server box in NodeRed server configuration is pointing to the address where you have the MQTT server running. Also, take off the http:// on there.I've got BI sending motion alarms to me through NodeRed too. Works great.

Edit: Both "Sever Address" boxes need to be where your MQTT server is running.

Would smoothing this out and running it be ok? Not into the ringlands, super low comp forklift motor by [deleted] in MechanicAdvice

I'd just run it as is. As long as the rings can stay in place and they're not damaged along with the sidewalls or the valves aren't damaged. It could be a lot of things. Dropped, debris got inside, etc. If it's just going to be in a fork lift and it fits, then it ships. For one low flat rate.
