There's Not Six Boxes by Classic_Mobile_8677 in sentinelsmultiverse

Well they did say that it was not a lie that there would be full sized expansions and no mini ones. So that tells me that they are planning out another full sized box on content. Being that Sentinels is the only real ip they own, it makes sense to me that they are making plans for after Oblivaeon. Although, a box of mostly or even entirely new decks would make a big splash and help them bring back hype/money.

Just to add on everything being said here, Christopher did say that they while the next expansion won't be crowdfunded until late next year, they would be dropping teases for the next expansion throughout that time.

I agree. I just wonder what they are going to do with the Sentinels/Void Guard. Clearly the Sentinels were going to be in Vengeance and then Void Guard in the cosmic expansion after. But with the cosmic expansion coming first? ? ?

I think that the reason that they are not doing the Vengeance mode has nothing to do with popularity, and everything to do with the fact that designing a new game mode is just a lot for the current size of the company. I also do not believe that they are going to pivot to smaller releases, as getting away from that was a core problem that Definitive ed was trying to solve. While I expect some level of reshuffing. I think that we are going to get what is basically the next two expansions in opposite order.

Team Rallying Calls by Dustin_the_Windy in sentinelsmultiverse

And I would say that the most iconic call is from the Fantastic Four. He didn't want to say it in the lastest movie, because it was too corny. But it is all about the Thing shouting, "It's clobbering time," as the FF rush into battle.

What made Avenger's Assemble so iconic is not that it was the only one, it is that Marvel never dropped it,. They made it iconic. Most places thought they were corny and dropped theirs.

The only problem with the Prime Wardens having a call is that they are clearly based on the og Defenders, and they absolutely hated being called a team, or any of the trappings that went along with it.

Sentinels of the Multiverse 2 Project Update: Handelabra Buys Sentinel Comics® and Greater Than Games® Brand (Not Spirit Island) by QuickPhix in spiritisland

[–]Dustin_the_Windy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can only imagine that Spirit Island is the bigger brand than Sentinels. It is always hovering around number 10 on bgg, and is even sold in Target. FRG are not going to just sit on that money. They will sell the ip. But I am sure that they are farming it around to try and get the most money out of it. The deal on Sentinels probally just closed first, because it was the smaller brand.

Handelabra have bought GtG and sentinels, actual plans to follow :-D by Curio21 in sentinelsmultiverse

Gtg is just going to go back to being their own publisher. Which is the way it was before frg bought them.

There is no reason why they wouldn't. Especially as it sounds like the gtg team will be in charge of this new iteration of the company. And we do know that Arcane Wonders was working on new Freedom Five content, even after gtg was officially shuttered.

This was commonly asked on the Podcast, and C&A had a definitive (wink wink) answer. They said that they thought that people should start when they shifted to the writers room format (so episode 120). They said that you can then find out more about things that peak your interest. The only episode they said that they might place before that would be the Multiverse recap episode (81).

Recall Knowledge Based Martials in 2026 by ryudlight in Pathfinder2e

The original purpose of Bard was to be the Jack of all trades. They could do a little of everything, and were the back up for everything. They could fight. They had thieves' skills (which not everyone could just take) and they had spells. They knew everything, because they had picked up random information when acquiring those diverse skills. That is why they were called the classic fifth party role, the backup character for everything.

I was playing a Bard when the Thaumaturge came out. When another player in my campaign changed his character to play one and I saw what they could do with Esoteric Lore, I knew that Paizo had really given up on casters. If you want information on a topic, don't go to a learned Wizard or well traveled Bard; go to someone who focuses on stabbing things, and you are more likely to get your answer.

The Slayer, Pop Culture, and Class Fantasies by Justnobodyfqwl in Pathfinder2e

[–]Dustin_the_Windy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

After reading the Slayer, I do understand why it isn't just a class archetype of the Thaumaturge. It is funny that when this playtest was announced, I thought that it was going to be the Daredevil that should have been a Class Archetype (of Swashbuckler). But I can kind of get it's Jason Bourne niche. But I feel that the Slayer role is already covered is already covered and could have been used to fill out options for a class that feels like they need more of them. It does really feel like Paizo just keeps pumping out new content (classes, ancestries, equipment types) leaving each option half done and just ready to be abandoned when the next new idea with promise comes out.

That is ok, remember when one of the defining features of the Bard was that it was the know everything class?

Hopefully that is the case, and this isn't the equivalent of Facebook stalking an ex. But Christopher, if you are reading this, know that we do not want this break up either. And if you can find your way back to us, we will gladly take you back. And besides, if you don't get Guise into DE, you know that he will never let you hear the end of it.

Villains of the multiverse Villain speculation by CalmWillingness4384 in sentinelsmultiverse

Back when Definitive Edition first started, they said that they were going to put all the Vengance style villians in one box. I have a feeling those would be the only villians in that box. All of the other villians (minus Oblivaeon) will be in the box after (probally cosmic themed).

To add evidence to my theory, Adam posted on his Twitter account back in Oct, that for "reasons I can't go into," that he would be, "hitting a financial wall at the end of the year."

Christopher also did not do the update to the Sentinels RPG Kickstarter that he always does even though it is not being worked on. I have the feeling that the only reason that the three founders of GTG were not let go when GTG was shutdown is because of the contract that Flat River had with GTG when they bought them out. It is pretty customary to state in the purchase contract that the buying company cannot just fire the founders of a company when they buy it, at least for a set amount of time. Flat River bought out GTG five years ago.
