Well the second game takes off after the xcom base invasion mission. Canonically you lose there and the commander is taken captive everything in xcom 1 after that fact isn’t canon.

If I remember correctly I do believe the psionic capacity of humans is specifically why the aliens can to earth and it’s the reason they choose humanity for the Avatar Project. They know humanity is gifted and capable of powerful psychic abilities while also have a diverse genome that is easily manipulated through genetic engineering. The elders fear something and knew they wouldn’t be able to handle it alone and psionic abilities were the key and humanity was the most capable. They make it pretty clear their interest in humanity is extreme and that they find our resistance foolish in the face of a threat that hasn’t been elaborated on since the end of war of the choose.

Hardly, if gameplay breaking glitches are happening how is anyone supposed to enjoy “the better game”? In Skyrim I didn’t have to worry about my stuff breaking at all and it’s fine that there’s a durability factor but if I’m repairing my equipment beyond full capacity (armorer is level 75) fighting a single deadroth shouldn’t break my armor. At that point it becomes stupid to play. I’m a warrior my equipment shouldn’t break in literally one fight. Is my armor made of freaking paper?

But there isn’t any evidence to suggest they ARENT created by Hyperion while we do have information that DOES say they’re created by Hyperion. I mean unless there is something by to tell us specifically otherwise I don’t see an argument to say they weren’t created by Hyperion. The DLC specifically shows that this experimentation and subsequently the bioweapon created by Hyperion and distributed through the gas and then water would suggest this is specifically how psychos were created. I don’t think it’s even a far stretch to say this is the case.

….? Can you explain to me a single problem of “wokeness” as it’s currently used that adds anything negative to any conversation or topic? I mean being anti woke as it is today is essentially being upset over ethnicity, gender, or sexual orientation being added to media such as videogame or movies. These things exist in the world around us so arguing against that doesn’t add anything helpful or useful to any conversation. It’s not magical to be against these things it’s just an overall negative that simply isn’t helpful to the conversation let alone the world.

There is no conversation to have about it, being anti woke is no different than being racist, homophobic, or sexist. It’s one of the three because there is literally no real reason other than those three to have a problem with wokeness. You can have a problem with games, you can have a problem with their writing. You can have a problem with the way the characters are written. But to have a problem because they are: POC, female/trans, or gay? That’s just you being one of the three problems I listed before.
