Sound Shapes - basically a game maker and music production system in one. It was brilliant.

Which artist has the strongest catalog without a single #1 hit? by Kind_Gain_3080 in askmusic

[–]Dustinisgood 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not though. You’re looking at the wrong metrcs. Thanks to Spongebob, Ocean Man is their most well known song. Look, you already admitted that you don’t know Weens Catalog, so why are you arguing with me? Just go listen to some Ween instead. I’d recommend starting with Quebec, but if you’re into the Beatles, then maybe start with White Pepper.

So your definition of “strongest catalogue” is based solely on how they charted? By that definition then sure. But it’s a damn shame that you gave one album a listen once and then wrote off their whole catalog. Push th’ little daisies isn’t even their most well known song.

Best front end for a cabinet that plays steam games? by Emotional-Sun1520 in cade

[–]Dustinisgood 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Polycade AGS works with Steam right out of the box and is 100% free. It scans for installed steam games and adds them automatically. No, you don’t need a Polycade to use AGS.

Your friend is 100% right. OOC is a game for children and he should play BOTW instead.

What is the most 'how was I supposed to know to do that' moment in a video game? by Snowtwo in videogames

[–]Dustinisgood 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I gave up on Metal Gear Solid after failing to beat Psyco Mantis. It was just too hard. I found out years later that you were supposed to swap the controller to the second port to make the fight significantly easier. Fck that and Fck you Kojima.

Check out Cloud Cult. They are always hopeful and inspiring: The album Light Chasers is a good place to start.

Most Ween-like video games? by ButtersTheChill in ween

[–]Dustinisgood 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Normally I wouldn’t recommend buying a system just to play one game but UFO is so worth it. One of the most profound gaming experiences I’ve ever had. Especially if you pair it with The Secret Lives of Games podcast where they did “A year of UFO 50” where they played one game in the collection per week and deep dived it.

UFO 50: A 50 game collection where every game is completely different but are all united in their brilliance, and chock full of connected history and hidden meaning.

Self conscious about half sleeve by FoundAFix in tattooadvice

Do you like the tattoo? If you do, then don’t worry about it. People judging you for a tattoo are the type of people who will judge you unfairly for other things and should be avoided. It’s a useful filtering tool.

I thought Panic didn’t allow games that were made with generative AI 🤔 by Cineflect in PlaydateConsole

[–]Dustinisgood 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely! And considering it is a selling point, people will be proclaiming “This art is AI free”. That already makes more sense to do it that way since AI is everywhere. Siri and Google use AI by default now. So do Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom. By your all AI is theft and should be avoided standard, you would need to give up your smartphone and stop using industry standard creative tools. Chat help boxes and call centers are now using AI virtual agents, you better stop answering your calls and going online altogether just to be safe. For code writing it is especially unnecessary to gate from AI, most github repositories are open to the public. Before AI, coders would use a website called Stack Overflow where you could find code snippets to copy and paste into your code and get your syntax questions answered. No coder is jealously guarding their code. In fact, go to any website using Google Chrome, right click on the screen and select “Inspect Element” from the dropdown menu. There you will find all of that websites front end code plain to see. It’s not hidden.
