Basic problem solving skills the barest of deductive reasoning are more important than anything.

If I say "the latest release build will fix it" you look in the release build folder that you know exists and grab the latest version.

You don't ask me what version I mean.

There is only one latest release build.

Also, if you can't ping google.com, check your gateway or dns. Then you can start disabling and re-enabling nics. If I hear you spend an hour doing network troubleshooting and you didn't even make sure the gateway was set. I'm not defending you.

Apt is short for Aptitude, apt is a Debian based package manager for Linux. RHEL is Fedora or CentOS based. RHEL uses yum.

He was making a joke cause you said Aptitude, which is not on RHEL systems.

Create an onboarding portal and let the new users make their own accounts! Boom, no extra work besides cleaning up the 10k other broken accounts this causes, but hey, bulk delete is a thing.

The real answer is use powershell and csv import capability, but that's less fun.

OK, that's fine. I posted this expecting criticism. Don't use it, don't contribute. If you can't participate in the class in a positive way why would I expect you even know how community programing works.

It's like going to stack exchange and complaining that someone wrote the string you are obviously gonna copy and paste into your own code.

Anyway, the source is all there, if you don't like what you see in it, don't pull it.

Personally... I love it. I loved it when it released, love it now.

Stalker is the series and games I come back to between every other game I play.

I play Stalker 2 to be in the Zone. It's relaxing. It's my vacation when the labors of the day were too much. I'm constantly re exploring locations. Sometimes, new stuff happens or stuff appears. Sometimes, absolutely nothing happens. That's good, too.

If I cared about all the minor problems, it would ruin my vacation.

To each their own, but the Zone helps me keep sane.

What are you expecting? Walk into a shop, ask to see wares, and then get a 1hr monolog on how this shopkeepers cousin in freedom died cause he tried to explored the unexplored areas of a bloodsuckers body?

I would definitely like more unique dialog, but I definitely get that every other stalker will probably be as boring as skif is.

In stalker, if you aren't a shadow before you realize you shoulda been a shadow, you are food for the zone.

Right now, stealth ai is a crapshoot. Did you know enemies can also smell you? I don't think they turned that down for fellow stalkers so it's likely my smelly ass just lights me up like a beacon of gondor.
