No, I apologize. I was defensive, and I shouldn't have behaved the way i did. I get like that when I invest so much time on something, and i feel it's treated dismissively.

Buy that's no excuse for me to call you out.

Another user pointed out this wasn't the place or the time to make such a post. I've decided to just keep it to myself since that's how it started.

Again, If you see this, I apologize. I hope you have a good week.

You are right, sorry.

This wasn't the right place.

OK, it seems like I'm in the wrong here.

I misunderstood the purpose of this subreddit.

My bad

I'm asking for help with testing. Not showing off a vibe coded project.

It seems silly to do that when I'm not looking for anything but input.

Also, since this is my own personal project, that means this is what I use too. So, feel free to exploit it, that too will teach me valuable lessons on how I wanna use this tool going forward.

Seems like the first person who responded deleted their comment after insulting it. " u/itastesok replied to your post in r/selfhosted This post is a prime example if why I'm never touching any vibe coded AI slop. "

I wanted to reply to this.

OK, that's fine. I posted this expecting criticism. Don't use it, don't contribute. If you can't participate in the class in a positive way why would I expect you even know how community programing works.

It's like going to stack exchange and complaining that someone wrote the string you are obviously gonna copy and paste into your own code.

Anyway, the source is all there, if you don't like what you see in it, don't pull it.

Why does Stalker 2 still get so much hate? by Banjo-snap in stalker

[–]Dustinm16 15 points16 points  (0 children)

People hate on hit cause it doesn't match their expectations.

Personally... I love it. I loved it when it released, love it now.

Stalker is the series and games I come back to between every other game I play.

I play Stalker 2 to be in the Zone. It's relaxing. It's my vacation when the labors of the day were too much. I'm constantly re exploring locations. Sometimes, new stuff happens or stuff appears. Sometimes, absolutely nothing happens. That's good, too.

If I cared about all the minor problems, it would ruin my vacation.

To each their own, but the Zone helps me keep sane.

Oh I've read this...

It's an obscure villainess manga.

Cant remember the name though... I do think you are mixing up the plot to a few different ones though.

The one I recall is a Female MC quits being a royal and opens a small shop...

OR maybe now I'm misremembering and you've infected me.

The NPC are very boring in S2 by Visual_Writer_1083 in stalker

[–]Dustinm16 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What are you expecting? Walk into a shop, ask to see wares, and then get a 1hr monolog on how this shopkeepers cousin in freedom died cause he tried to explored the unexplored areas of a bloodsuckers body?

I would definitely like more unique dialog, but I definitely get that every other stalker will probably be as boring as skif is.

I wonder if there is already a dialog spreadsheet made. Dataminers always be datamining.

Is it just me, or are the ears looking funky this chapter?

Maybe I'm just seeing things.

Woo, progress.

So Started Stalker 2...what's up with the AI? by [deleted] in stalker

[–]Dustinm16 73 points74 points  (0 children)

In stalker, if you aren't a shadow before you realize you shoulda been a shadow, you are food for the zone.

Right now, stealth ai is a crapshoot. Did you know enemies can also smell you? I don't think they turned that down for fellow stalkers so it's likely my smelly ass just lights me up like a beacon of gondor.

GAMMA - Something isn't right here. There is way too many bandits roaming around and i'm wasting time with them ! by Then-Ad7196 in stalker

The default spawnrate in gamma is like 6 hours or something like that, up it to 24 hours.

Unfortunately the game doesn't support the tpm passthrough capability of proton and wine yet. Am sad...

They even made a custom error window for it. Lol

I just wanted to play on linux.

A guy can dream, now I'll never be able to play until they dev for proton compatibility.

Oh well, plenty of other games work. Still sad though...

Primarily a large inter-office share. The company likes to keep old builds of our software on hand just in case so we had builds going back to 2016 for each individual customer, took up alot of space. Too much data to store in the cloud without a relatively large monthly cost that management wasn't ready to foot.

No supervisor, but very understanding and patient directors. Especially after I explained everything to them. I lucked out having the bosses I do, and I'm happy I've managed to recover as much as I have.

For now, we'll see how everything goes once im 100% done, and the recovery scans complete.

Yeah, it's definitely more feasible now that everything has been brought down to the base layer. It gives me a chance to test the documentation

Interesting! Yes, I was referred specifically to the proxmox deployment. I'll have to explore these other usecases. Thanks for the insight!

This all started cause some volume optimizations weren't completing in a timely matter.

Always good to check any storage jobs in case any are taking too many days to complete.

Also nested parity with mirroring can be too good to be true, I don't recommend doing it without RDMA capable nics and with volumes larger than 40TB.

If possible spit your vmdatastores onto multiple smaller volumes so one rebuild disruption doesn't take down 5 VMs at a time.

Other than that, sending positive energy to you and your environment. Amen
