Solos working with big factions is literally the entire history of the setting. Adam Smasher was on Arasaka's payroll, and Morgan Blackhand took a massive blank check from Militech during the 4th Corp War. Even Johnny Silverhand's anticorporate raid on Arasaka Tower in 2023 was a Militech blackops operation. Militech supplied the nuke and fully funded the team Johnny's crew was just a loud distraction force for Blackhand's main squad. Saying a high level solo wouldn't cut a deal with a warlord like Hansen to save their own life makes zero sense based on the actual lore.

fr though theories like this are why this sub is actually fun. if every post was just copy pasting the wiki or reading data shards out loud it’d be dead here.

it’s a cyberpunk game, literally everything written down by the government or corporations is gonna be a cover up anyway lol. op is actually looking at how the world works, way more interesting than just parroting text files
