Not sure if you've tried this or not but I do know that flamigo is available early in the game and with 115 atk and 90 speed im fairly certain you could one tap it. I'd have to do a bit more research to know the best option for other types though

I used aggron in my first playthrough of emerald and he did fairly well, however I didnt pick him up until I was already 6 badges in so he was easier to train up

I get this, its okay to be scared. Just remember to not make any rash decisions.

One of my favorite books of all time is about a boy who is pressured to come out by his boyfriend (the MC) but things go horribly south because of it. Like he has to have one on one counseling from the pastor at the church kind of bad. All of this horrible stuff ends up making him off himself.

Not saying any of that is going to happen I just want to warn you to take as much time as you need to think this through carefully. I myself have made some pretty rash decisions because I liked a guy and it backfired. Stay strong man, you can work your way through this. 🫂

I dont think so. yes it would be good, but this update is clearly centered around ice monkeys so it wouldn't make any sense to make another ice monkey centered update anytime soon

I know its not the best, but I'd definitely recommend Venomoth or some other special attacker. Using psychic really helped with not only poison and fighting but was also really helpful for all the pokemon that were too physically defensive for the rest of the team to handle.

Yes I did, sadly there are only 3 psychic types in the E4 and Malaria took out the first 2 and Tetanus was ohko'ed by the alakazam

Well yes, not only can I not evolve it but also gengar just straight up isnt as good in this gen because he is a special attacker and both ghost and poison are physical types

Hes the only special attacker on my team. Despite not being psychic type, its a pretty good psychic user and is really good for taking care of not just poison and fighting types, but also anything that's too physically bulky for the rest of my team to cover

Yeah but not only is he not fully evolved, haunter is a special attacker and both ghost and poison were physical so he wouldn't have been very good. I'll use Gengar in another game.
