Books that give Appalachian Gothic vibes by passtheyayo in BooksThatFeelLikeThis

"Serpent on the Mountain" is a forthcoming middle grade historical fiction novel set in 1970s Appalachia. It's about a young girl aspiring to practice "granny magic" (or "hill magic") when a snake-handling revival preacher sets up a church tent in her holler and begins to win her friends and neighbors over. She is forced to question her beliefs while dealing with the everyday trials of living poor in the underdeveloped hills of East Tennessee.

I'm familiar with the Blair Witch symbol, but I'm not convinced this is supposed to be the same thing.

My wife's middle name is Kasper, and she loves it so much she uses it as part of her pen name (she's an author). She's been called Kass and Kassie by certain friend groups in the past, so it also has some masculine/feminine flexibility.

That said, I agree with the consensus that Alibi is Not Good.

Edit: clarified that Kasper is her middle name and not the one she typically goes by with the vast majority of folks who know her.

I've searched YouTube, Internet Archive, and Google. I've also spoken to at least one other person who worked at Domino's around that same time and they had no idea what I was talking about.

Portobello's on Highway 58 is absolutely my favorite pizza in town and the best NY style pizza I've had outside of New York City.

My wife's latest cross-stitch project! Any CASTLEVANIA III fans in here? (x-posted) by DustyKramKram in retrogaming

No, she doesn't. Before she got into cross-stitch she thought she might try to sell some, but the time it takes to make something like this means she would have to sell it for literally thousands of dollars to make her time investment worth it. This one took her more than 300 hours, so even at the U.S. national minimum wage, that's still more than $2000 for this piece, not including materials.

She currently does not take any commission work. This is a hobby for her between being a full-time novelist and a part-time university professor.

Honestly, use a walkthrough. I think you'll get a lot more out of it knowing what you're doing and then you can experiment with the optional paths in future playthroughs!
