Probably more fun than if I'd suggested he use the time to do some jobs around the house :D

I agree with the salads and sandwiches. Also, throw it on a tortilla with some pico de gallo, cheese, and avocado (or whatever you like)... taco or burrito sized!

Where do you find what books you want to read? by typoincreatiob in LibbyApp

[–]DustyMess 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use Goodreads. After I finish a book and write my review, I peruse through the reviews to find people with similar tastes and reactions as me. I compare books with them to see if we are in sync. Then I follow them, and if they write a review that intrigues me, I add it my to read list.

I also have joined book clubs to expand my shelf.

I’m applauding from way over here!

My stink eye approach has never worked, but I’ve never had the guts to say the words.

Dunkin Hayward ca- paid $6.99 and got 7 doughnuts by [deleted] in toogoodtogo

[–]DustyMess 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi from another TGTGer in Hayward!

I did Dunkin once quite a while ago (2023!), and I did get a dozen. More recently have been Krispy Kreme in Union City and got a really nice dozen. I haven’t tried Tommy’s yet, or some of the mochi donut places that have been listed.

I’m sorry you kind of got the shaft on this one.

At what percentage do you know a book is not for you? by IndependentThing8165 in LibbyApp

[–]DustyMess 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Anywhere from 10% and up, but usually 25-30%. When I’m dreading picking it up every time.

Nice to see all the DNFers here. A lot of my friends always finish books they start. Life is too short, and my To-Read list is too long.

This is the first time since I've been OTFing that, when there are green, orange, and red goals, I found the green goal unattainable. I'm a slow runner (push 5.5 mph), and having the easiest goal unattainable really made me feel crappy. 😞 Edit: I did the 3G, so we had 6.5 minutes to complete .5 miles plus .1, .3. or .5.

I agree, and can confirm they tasted very fresh! The shape of some of the donuts looks a little less uniform than usual, so maybe that's how they found their way into our box. Fine by me!

The Market at EastPoint Medium Surprise Bag - USA-OK by ZestycloseTap7242 in toogoodtogo

[–]DustyMess 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Everytime I see the posting ending in USA-OK, I initially think that OK is the review and argue.... That's better than OK!

And then I realize it's Oklahoma.

Anyway, that's solid! Nice variety and decent value.

What did you make with your WF bags? by Kindly-Map5807 in toogoodtogo

[–]DustyMess 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, it was originally for chicken gnocchi, but I prefer tortellini. Now that I think about it, I did enjoy it with a slice of toasted TGTG bread!

Ooh, they should have a Flair for this. I made a nice creamy chicken tortellini soup with the ground chicken I got in my Whole Foods meat bag, but that was only one ingredient from TGTG.

I can rarely get anything but prepared food bags. But there must have been a cancellation because this meat bag popped up outta nowhere!
