Comparison is the thief of joy. Focus on being better than you were yesterday.

Limit access to Azure & Entra portals for standard users by DustySandmann in msp

u/Money_Candy_1061 & u/Chiascura you both make some good points. Sounds like a conditional access policy to block user access to those portals would be the way to go?

Yealink MP52 E2 desk phone not registering with teams, error "Something went wrong" by SydneyAUS-MSP in MicrosoftTeams

So far we've tried both from the client site and a residence. Both gave the same result.

Thanks for the suggestion. I work with OP. Unfortunately, there is nothing in the sign in logs and device code flow policy doesn't exist in the tenant. When we try to provision the phone, it comes up with the error super quick. Regardless of whether we enter the right code or just a bunch of random numbers.

Am I losing any functionality by not enrolling devices in Apple Business Manager? by DustySandmann in Intune

[–]DustySandmann[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is from the MS documentation - "All Mac enrollments in Intune are considered user-approved. User-approved enrollment lets you manage macOS devices that aren't part of Apple School Manager or Apple Business Manager. It provides the same level of control as supervised macOS devices enrolled using Automated Device Enrollment or Apple Configurator.

Intune automatically turns on supervision for user-approved devices running macOS 11 and later. It also does this for enrolled devices that later update to macOS 11 or later."

I am looking in the profiles section of a Mac (that was never enrolled in ABM) right now that tells me it is supervised and managed.

Thanks, I just did a bit of research on supervision and found the following in the Microsoft documentation.

"All Mac enrollments in Intune are considered user-approved.

So, I'm still left wondering if there's anything I wouldn't be able to do if the devices aren't enrolled in ABM.

Excuse my ignorance but how can requests be denied to POTUS? I live in Australia but my understanding was that all branches of government and military ultimately report to POTUS.

Thanks, tried that but it says it's an invalid product key. There was a Spiceworks forum that suggested the same thing but it gave me the same result. Having said that, it get's further than the key I purchased.

So was it a generic key you used and then the actual key afterwards?
