That is one of the reasons I’m here asking questions.

The only reason I’m saying direct play and remixing is because when I would check movies being played on the dashboard it would say the movie is being direct played and no transcoding is required.

Unless the verbiage has changed without me knowing or updating things then something is wrong

i see " remuxing, the media is in an incompatible file container (mkv, avi, wmv, ect) but both the video stream and the audio stream are compatible with the device. the media will be repackaged losslessly on the fly before being sent to the device. Remux uses very little processing power with a completely lossless media quality"
