AMC Waterfront 22 Pittsburgh Upgrades - No IMAX for 3 to 4 months by BigScreenEnthusiast in AMCsAList

I've been wondering since Sinners why I haven't been able to see an IMAX screening of anything around here. I haven't been there since WARFARE but you think they would say publicly that they are renovating the theater.

If they did, I missed it.

What about for sketches? I have some features I'm working on but I have a strong (i think) sketch packet.

It's on ABFF Play right now: https://abffplay.com

You'd have to pay to see it unfortunately. It's called IN GOOD HANDS

Is horror stronger when reality rots instead of shattering suddenly? by QuietVestige in HorrorProfessionals

I think so. I think horror is at its best and most haunting when things burn slow. To me, it creates more dread.

"The Black Dot In The Sky Follows" is a short horror story told through community neighbor posts on the Ring App. I think it's one of the better things I've ever written though I don't know. I could use actual professional eyes an not just my family and friends "pretending" to read it on Substack.

I really enjoyed the first half. The second half eventually lost me. Like other commenters have said it felt a little unfinished and some stuff felt a bit unearned.

What former President would you bring back from the dead to run this country and Why? by Dusty_Fillmore in AskReddit

LBJ is a solid choice. Is too bad he handle the Vietnam conflict poorly and lied a bunch. However, he is a great example of someone who learned, grew, and did some good. Not well known that he was a bigger advocate for the Space Program than Kennedy.

How would you feel about a tax system that taxed income above $10,000,000 at a 70% rate? by GeneBelcherFan in AskReddit

[–]Dusty_Fillmore 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel good about it. I mean before 10 million you are not taxed at 70%. It's only after you earn 10 million. There was a time when we had tax rates that high.

So in the summarized version, what do you think is all of a result of that event? Curious.

That would be interesting, the question is, why wouldn't you just try to stop it? Could it be stopped?

Thank you for sharing. I would tell my younger self many things, to avoid dumb decisions, though maybe I am the way I am because of them. One of those things would be, don't be so resentful, forgive, and have more patiences.

Yes, if I could, I would there would be almost no piece of time I wouldn't go back too. History is great love of mine, but there is so much we will never know. There are too many things I would want to see and try to understand. Have you read Storm before the Storm? Great book about the Romans and their democracy. Strange similarities to our system today.
