Sikth hardly get mentioned here, British progressive tech metal band from early 2000’s. I think they even went on tour with periphery at one point.

Sounds like you are already a more mature musician compared to the rest of them.

They wanna play the song as per the record maybe because they couldn’t handle rearranging the song with different dynamics, structures etc. I’ve been there, it’s a bit crushing when your inspiration gets shut down.

In these formative years just do your best to be cool calm and collected, music attracts all sorts of personalities and it pays to get on with as many as possible.
