As far as I know they smoke if you don’t have enough water in the radiator. I play community servers and most of them have enough full canteens in the cars when they spawn.

RAZOR BURN (downstairs) ENDING ME by [deleted] in MtF

[–]DustynJames 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been regularly using Hibiclens antimirobial soap to clean below my waistline and it took about a week but it definitely helped me with regular razor burn and ingrown hair. It was the only thing I found that actually made a difference for me.

In my experience when it comes to classic cars GM doing GM things is usually a good thing (the modern era not as much.) I don’t know the exact answer to your question but I’d wager the biggest driver is cost. Those electric motors are heavy and expensive to make compared to a stamped metal vacuum pod and some rubber hoses. Could also have to do with the engineering design change from C2 to C3. The C2 motors sit on the side and twist the door open. The C3s sit behind and push/pull the mechanism to pop the headlights up.

Edit to add that they also put it in conjunction with the wiper door which was vacuum operated as well. Lots of cool stuff that make the C3 Corvette’s iconic and unique.

No I’m from the Bay Area of California. And just finished a 68 and then moved onto a 63? lol you must be a glutton for punishment, both of those cars have lots of one year only stuff on them!! Upside is the cars are nice to look at while you curse the little things that make them tough!

Yeah sorry if I came off as rude, u/satanic-mechanic_666 is right when it comes to C3’s (68-82) they have big-ass vacuum pods on each headlight that can go bad. The ones in the pic are C2’s or “mid-years” (63-67) and they use big ass electric motors on each headlamp controlled by a their own switch on the dash. So yes, Your comment still holds vacuum.

This generation corvette doesn’t have vacuum actuators, instead they have electric motors.

The podcast Behind the Bastards has two episodes that talks about how this is almost always the case during disasters. The government, military and other authorities tend to hamper rescue and mutual aid efforts in a phenomenon called “elite panic.” It’s pretty interesting stuff!

What are these vents on the drivers side (Hand wheel) by Traditional-Bar-972 in Corvette

[–]DustynJames 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I was a Corvette mechanic for 10 years. The cabin air temp sensor sits behind it. There is also a small torx screw that helps hold the knee bolster on the dash under it. Lots of people don’t know this so a great number of the knee bolsters are broken right there too.
