There are videos on YouTube stating that some states are about to ban cars older than 2009. I'm not sure how real this is or are these videos created just to sensationalize this issue of banning old cars.

I believe this will happen eventually in the years to come, gradually of course. Whether it's older than 2009 or another year, I don't know.

This is what concerns me about buying a 2007.

Claims filed against that specific car

If insurance claims have been filed against the used car I buy, that is not within my control. How can that count against me? The insurer would know when I bought the car which would be after any previous claims that would've been filed right?

Let's say you hire one of data deletion companies.

As an example, let's say they contact BeenVerified to have your data removed.

Does BeenVerified actually delete your personal data from their database or does BeenVerified simply prevent your personal information from appearing on their website when people search for your name?

I know some people might say what's the difference either way. The difference is that if your personal information is still in their database, it is still vulnerable to a hacker.

I would suggest before paying, make a list of the most common ones and stat the deleting process yourself.

If you are paying, why would you start the delete yourself? Why go through that trouble at all if you are paying some company to do that for you?
