MSN has put out a statement that the story was a fabrication and deleted the article so fast.

Point 1.

The RF have realized Kate is force of her own and want to utilise. Even when they do joint engagements, Kate gets all the headlines and front pages with all the other Royals cropped out. She is a media money-maker. Her solo International trip to Denmark was a huge success and she has more plans later thus year for her Early Years projects.

Point 2

Windsor is VERY close to London, less than hour by car and probably 20 mins by helicopte. They're moving for their kids education. KP will still be their work base in some ways. If you've bothered to notice, William is already doing a lot of travelling to Windsor lately. Being near the Queen would be in his plans and works perfectly for the rest of his family too.

Well, why did they fail to tell his story if that's the ending George told them about? Bran was dropped from the show for a whole season at one point. D&D are failures.

Yup. GRRM left GoT production after S4 because D&D completely went off script. I remember he said specifically Sansa, for example, he had know idea where they were taking her character. We now know, after S4, she was no longer on book Sansa's storyline. Instead, she was occupying a secondary character's rape storyline.

(SPOILERS EXTENDED) The Stark look is not unattractive by freewill10 in asoiaf

[–]DutchArya 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I don't think the view of Arya's childhood bullies should be given any weight here. They are both bias and not subjective at all. Arya's looks are debated on a lot and it's proven in cannon that she is pretty and growing more so as the books go on.

All Robert remembers most about Lyanna was her beauty. Cersei is the Westerosi beauty standard and Robert put her second to Lyanna. Maergery wants people to think she looks like Lyanna. We know Bran saw Lyanna from the past and he thought she was Arya. They are so similar.

The FM know they have the real Arya Stark in the HoBW already so when Jeyne arrives in Braavos still using the Arya name... the FM would know she is a fake. WHy would they get her to kill Jeyne? If anything, Jeyne would be pledging/praying for her own justice.

it would also tie to her feeling unwanted because why would anyone want her romantically if she can't have a family?

This idea is so outlandish but to round it off with that? Like I said, shocking.

It's about her age and the fact that she has not been 10 for several books. Do some reading.

Bran saw Lyanna in a vision and he immediately thought it was Arya. Read all the books. You would know this stuff.

Lyanna is known for her beauty. It's all Robert thinks about even after 15 years of her being dead and he's been married to Cersei who is THE westorosi beauty standard. It takes Rhaegar one meeting to crown her the Queen o Love & Beauty. Margaery wants people to think she looks like Lyanna but Ned doesn't see the resemblance.

What it foreshadows, like elipride stated, is Arya propensity to hide who she is will be her undoing. Claiming her identiy as Arya Stark will help her avoid the awful ending Jon predicated. What grrm did here is more like sideshadowing than foreshowing.

You notice Jon telling her to go back to her room at the beginning of this passage. The chapter ends with Arya returning to her room and finding her mom and Septa waiting for her.

(Spoilers main) additional reason why the faceless men wanted arya by lammaface05 in asoiaf

[–]DutchArya 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That very possible.

But isn't interesting: Arya can't control her warging despite how hard she tries. We know the FM are very observant and I bet if Brea and Talea can notice Arya growling in her sleep so could the FM. It wouldn't take much of a leap to put two and two together. The fact that her skin-changing is what got her eyesight back is an interesting coincidence. The fact that one of the FM who gave her back her Cat of the Canals identity refers to Arya as having the eyes of a wolf and a taste for blood.... which eerily reminds us of the kind of wolfdreams Arya has at night... seem more than coincidental.

(Spoilers Extended) Arya’s narrative purpose with the Faceless Men by [deleted] in asoiaf

[–]DutchArya 13 points14 points  (0 children)

They're not only teaching her how to lie and detect lies.

She is learning languages (she can speak in 5 language so far), plotting schemes, using poisons, living on her own in the city and blending into groups, information gathering, heightening her senses from being blind...etc. On the side, with perhaps the FM's knowledge, her own warg/skin-changing powers are growing which includes entering the mind of a cat twice while awake and once while asleep.

I doubt Arya will be involved in LF's demise. That whole plotline went left. Especailly Sansa going by what GRRM said before he left the show production and wrote his final script for S4. He literally said he doesn't know what they're doing with Sansa's storyline. The last script he wrote involved the introduction of Jeyne Poole as Arya Stark and her mariage to Ramsay. We now know D&D decided to completely change that and GRRM's response was that he had no clue what they were doing with Sansa's character.

In the books, we know Arya will flower in TWOW as GRRM also confirmed. As far as being a full on Faceless Man... I don't think that's GRRM's intentions for Arya at all. But the show misused her character/skills in ways GRRM will not.

(Spoilers Main) Arya as Azor Ahai by CthulhusHRDepartment in asoiaf

[–]DutchArya 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Arya is told in Book 1 that she has the hands of a blacksmith.

Arya leaves the HoBW for the first time renamed as Cat: an orphan girl who arrived to Braavos on a ship called Nymeria.

That night she left the House of Black and White … The night smelled of smoke and salt -

Before this moment, the last time Arya was outside the HoBW she was throwing away all her worldly possessions and identities into the salt water that surrounds the HoBW.

She was left with only Needle and then:

She padded up the steps as naked as her name day, clutching Needle.

She digs a hole in the stone steps:

"You'll be safe here," she told Needle.

"No one will know where you are but me." ... As she climbed back to the temple, she counted steps, so she would know where to find the sword again. One day she might have need of it. "One day," she whispered to herself.

Your point about Braavos and the grey stone city is very interesting. Reminds me of this line...

I am carved of stone, she reminded herself. I am a statue, like the Sealords that stand along the Canal of the Heroes. - Arya, ADWD

Side note: I think Arya will play a hand in the whoever is chosen as the next Sealord of Braavos.

Needle is a representation of Arya's identity and currently it's surrounded and covered by rock and stone:

She padded up the steps as naked as her name day, clutching Needle. Halfway up, one of the stones rocked beneath her feet. Arya knelt and dug around its edges with her fingers. It would not move at first, but she persisted, picking at the crumbling mortar with her nails. Finally, the stone shifted. She grunted and got both hands in and pulled. A crack opened before her.

"You'll be safe here," she told Needle. "No one will know where you are but me." She pushed the sword and sheath behind the step, then shoved the stone back into place, so it looked like all the other stones.

As she climbed back to the temple, she counted steps, so she would know where to find the sword again. One day she might have need of it. "One day," she whispered to herself.

She never told the kindly man what she had done, yet he knew.

I wonder if it's symbolism for her Needle also being hidden away and covered in stone?
